854 in week 1.
The strategy of cheap backs by itself wasn't a bad one. Problem is we picked the wrong backs - we needed Kennedy and Watkins instead of Aekins and Wiliame.
So now we need to work out who to trade in.
Have $116k in the kitty so can make some moves
Aekins out is one of them - but who to we bring in?
Kennedy possibly a bit risky - but we can have Watkins or Shibasaki, maybe DWZ.
Other options are downgrading elsewhere to bring in.
Anyone else seen as must have trade ins?
Post suggestions here and a poll can go up tonight

Quick look for me suggests you'd want to get Aekins out for sure & possibly Wiliame into EMG
1)Hess + Aekins (467 + 116 + 325 = 908k) to Isaako + Watkins leaving 60k (move Walters into 17, shift Wiliame to EMG and start Watkins/Lomax CTR, Issako WFB)
2) Musgrove + Aekins (242 + 325 +116 = 683k) to Watkins + Shibasaki leaving 6k (leaves Walters in EMG, starting Shibasaki/Lomax WFB and other 2 at CTR)

Aekins has to go.
I didn't watch the Cowboys game, but seems like people are blowing up about Hess. Maybe downgrade him, move Walters into the 17 and get someone less shit than Aekins...

Can you do something like Hess to Watkins (starting centre) in order to fund Aekins to Isaako?
Can move Walters to Jersey 17
Can move Wiliame back to 18-21

I like Hampton $302 against dogs in and Aekins out. Cows have lots of games in qld, gain $29k

Any way we can get Lomax in? Seemed to get a decent score without doing much? Keep in mind we may need to get Grant in also.

Camo’s 1st idea looks the goods.
Hess and Aekins out for Isaako and Watkins or Shibasaki. Move Wiliame to EMG.
Jahrome Hughes would be another good option for fullback but that would limit the second trade.

I am also in agreement with Camos option A.
There is no room for Aekins

Hess got 80 minutes and was against David Fifita the wrecking ball. This week he has the dogs. Watch him put up 60.

I agree and would be tempted to give Hess one more chance. What about Aekins and Lomax to Watkins and Isaako? Would only leave us with 3k cash though...

I think I prefer Jele's play and if we need cash next week we can swap out Hess after giving him another chance.

I love this move. The team weakness is clearly Centers (especially now Lomax is on the wing where he averages 20, yuck!)jelejasof wrote:I agree and would be tempted to give Hess one more chance. What about Aekins and Lomax to Watkins and Isaako? Would only leave us with 3k cash though...
I'm surprised Kennedy didn't make the team originally, would have made things much easier.
Isaako is on my list of top mid range trade ins that have a secure role. The only uncertainty for him was form, which he now has in place, along with goal kicking.
Lomax got lucky last week, (gift try and 2 try saves for 20 points he wont get this week), is unplayable on the wing and holding too much cash to be in 18-21. Might as well turn him into Isaako and be useful.

This is fair enough.
What about someone like Kennedy over Isaako. Might score a few less points but will eventually make more cash? I'm not convinced Duggan or Moylan are coming back soon. Gives 226 ITB.
Or maybe we need to get rid of Williame before Lomax?? Kennedy over Isaako enables this.

The alternative might be Lomax > Aubbo and Aekins > Kennedy.code delta wrote:

The worry is the job security of Kennedy though (and Aubbo too potentially, he is Aubbo after all). With Isaako's form last week and no Bird in the picture, he has fullback locked in.
