Better chance of it I think. Would be interesting to read the tv contract.

When all other sports seem able to cancel/suspend it makes you wonder how shit NRL and A-League negotiated.

I blame David Gallop for both

NRL app is only $4/week. Somehow I managed to get it for $3/week (week by week seemed appropriate this season).

There are 300m+ Americans who are sport-deprived at the moment. If the NRL can last even a couple of more weeks they could do well out of it

The NRL was putting away 50mil per year, but only lasted 2 years before they decided to use the saved money on a new digital strategy (which from what i can tell took over each teams site and improved the NRL site, plus taking over fantasy NRL) and give clubs more money.

I did notice that people like Phil Gould quickly changed his tune from paying the NRL out over money management to just saying we need to improve there in the future after the NRL pointed out that it was the clubs and club bosses like him that held the NRL to ransom and forced them to give them almost all their money. Gould also quietened down when he realised that the Panthers club is in massive trouble because they own so many leagues clubs around the state and most will shut and cost them a fortune.

In the grand scheme it’s pretty fucking dumb keeping it all on! Most countries in complete or very least partial lockdown.

yes you can argue it’s only 34 players and a few refs, add in the staff, groundsmen or women Then all the non social distance guys littering the grounds and having multiple people watching the games and you got well over 100 easy. Way it’s spreading it’s just dumb

    Well that was soft.

Also having Mann racking up pts in my emergencies while looking at Stimson 11 and Williams 14 is so gross.

He's definitely guilty of hypocrisy. Gould is annoying like that lol

I feel like the worse treatment an administrator gets from Gould, club bosses and rest of media, the better they probably are... Dave Smith, Peter Beattie
