Got up for Dawn Service this morning in Isolation, turn the computer on and BOOM! JT with what I can assume will be my best score of the week.

Isn't it funny when you forget which players you have in each game so you just scroll down the list until you see a guy from your team. Joy, if it's in the top half... but more often than not, I keep scrolling the list and praying I don't have a player and then KAZAAAM!! Right down the bottom of the list I'm reminded I have Shackelton and Stapleton in my team. What a fucking buzzkill.
I think I will quite easily underscore my record 521 for round 4 last week.
This is why I always read the lists from the bottom up - that way you start getting excited if you haven't seen your player yet (rather than getting that oh crap moment).

Likewise. Pretty special hearing The Last Post coming from so many different directions.
Then saw the lists and remembered I sold Shillo... doh!

A few random observations:
The good:
Reece Williams - Sharks - Scores so far of 43, 45, 58, 57 (not sure what happens to him when Gal is back though).
The bad:
Shane Elford - Tigers - Last week 74, this week 7
Paul Whatuira - Tigers - Last week 71, this week 12 - starting to look like the ultimate rocks and diamonds player
Me - Keeping Stapleton, selling Shillington
The ugly:
Travis Norton - Cowboys - 20, 22, 7, 23, 18 for an average of 18 (priced at 31 to start the season) - Starting Lock too!

I live a the top of a valley, we had 1 French Horn, 3 Trumpets and a set of Bagpipes echoing off the hills. It was quite special

It's taken a while but I think I've found the strategy for this format. In the forwards you want high base, but not just work horses. They have to be able to offload and threaten the line for line breaks and tries. In the backs you want players that do the hard yards, but also quick and elusive enough to break the line and finish
Picking the wrong types of forwards(except Tronc) and the wrong type of backs(except Inglis) makes it incredibly hard to come back

This is the Gallen replacement Williams that we all wanted, not that pretender Jack Williams

Good to see the world's slowest winger cross the line, even got an undeserved line break. Should be enough to kick start some price rises so I can move him for a real WFB

Yeah Reece Williams has being probably the most consistent scorer of all players with his 4 round scores being (had a bye round 1) 43, 45, 58, 57. You look at most players & they've usually getting 1 dud score but not Reece Williams.
Edit - Sorry MS I forgot Tronc he's been ultra consistent as well 47, 48, 40, 41, 49 but he 68k more expensive than Williams.

I would’ve bought in Williams this week, if Gallen didn’t exist. But if he holds his spot he’s going to make quite a bit more cash and be a borderline keeper.
On the ugly end, I started with Norton, cut him early, but I can’t believe how badly he scores.

So true.
No tinny tries in those scores from Reece either

Broncos vs Souths, click the spoiler to see if "Two Tries" Tupou lives up to his name
- Spoiler:
Brisbane 30 (T. Tupou 2, D. Boyd, J. Hodges, D. Lockyer tries; C. Parker 5 goals) defeated South Sydney 12 (P. Mellor, N. Merritt tries; N. Merritt 2 goals)
Well how about that, 12 people traded Tupou in, and he rewarded them by scoring two tries. How long can he keep this up for?
Lockyer and Hodges also bust out big ones (did someone talk mattnz out of trading in Lockyer this week?)
For those reading from the bottom, don't have to go far to find Casey McGuire. Sorry about that

Manly Warringah 22 (S. Bell 2, C. Hicks tries; M. Orford 5 goals) defeated Warriors 8 (T. Martin 2 tries)
After round 1, Tony Martin was a big target of hate. Most people held on, and they are rewarded with a 2 try performance.
Steven Bell keeps his try scoring going too
Menzies and Orford put up good scores
Luck and Rovelli not so much

Last game for this morning
Bulldogs 30 (T. Cutler, A. Emelio, L. Patten, A. Ryan tries; H. El Masri 7 goals) defeated Canberra 12 (T. Carney 2 tries; C. Schifcofske 2 goals)
Only 2 people own Carney, who has a start, 2 tries and 75 points
Alan Tongue gets 53, he's the star forward of this format
Zillman gets the sort of score people might have expected given his reputation
A couple weeks ago El Masri got 4 tries, now he gets just 22 points total
Learoyd-Lars with a 28, owners would want more, but its good for his price

That's it for this morning
Tonight will put up Newcastle vs Dragons, and start on round 6
Guest- Guest
Thanks Milchy!
574 with Gasnier and Carney to go....
My FRF combined for 35 points. I might need to fix that
Parker not hitting his BE is a bit shit. I could probably have got Bell in there somewhere and just played Ben Jones in the 2RF for one more game round. BAH
Tony Martin

I do that but then miss my players and have to read through the list multiple times.
