It’s very odd that Reddy is preferred at FB to Hayne. Also the Parra bench must be one of the most experienced in NRL history. These were things I meant to mention at kickoff

Lowest scoring game I can remember in my time was a game at Mt Smart against the Storm.
Warriors lost 2-4. Was an abysmal game in freezing conditions to watch and the fact that the Warriors lost made it even worse.

Ref fucking ruined history there with that dodgy scrum. I’m a Dragons supporter and was gutted at the time when we scored. Everyone remembers 2-1 soccer game forever, 8-1 is a bit shit.

Games like this remind me how good the last 30 years of being an Eels supporter have been.

Ah yeah my dad, an eels supporter, has spoken about the 2001 a bit. Dominate all year then fall asleep for 60 minutes in a final but still almost win. And to think Hindmarsh played through all these close years too.

Not sure how many of you remembered that Eels/Dragons game, I suspect a few might have picked it within a few minutes of kick off.

Shame the refs ruined the 2-1 scoreline by making a mess of that final scrum.

The early 2000s Parra was a great team but just lacked a world class individual in the halves to get over the line. Jason Taylor a good game organiser but not going to beat Andrew Johns on a big occasion. Still they had some dominant seasons before finals.
