That would be great and all but Melbourne don't just slow the play the ball, they slow the whole tackling process down. If they keep doing that it could work in their favour.

Im almost certain that the new rules will suit the storm. Might take a month or two to see the effects though.

They are the masters at exploiting the ruck and the new rules and one ref give more room for that imo

With players like Tino, Munster, Hughes, Pappy, Fox, Suliasu we might find a lot of space around the edges and a few of those boys are pretty quick!

I guess that was kind of my point - you’ve named 5 backs and a benchie when the Storm plan relies on big men slowing down hard runners and Cam Smith ‘controlling’ the pace of the game.

Yes, Bellamy will adjust quickly. But it’ll be really interesting to see how fit some of these big old legs are.

Just after some advice re RnT's team trying to set up a triple loop with E. Katoa, J. Williams & Guler if it's possible.
    14. Friend
    15. Grant
    16. E. Katoa (plays Sat 1st game)
    17. Cleary (Panthers play Sun 1st game)

    18. J. Williams (plays Sat 2nd game)
    19. Guler (plays Sat 3rd game)
    20. Musgrove (Wests play Sat 2nd game)
    21. Aubusson (Roosters play Fri 2nd game)

atm I've got the the loop set up with J. Williams & Guler as imo E. Katoa should score 40-50 points even starting off the bench but is there any way I can do a triple loop if E. Katoa doesn't score well. Cheers.

It's not about the size of your pool, its the size of your deck.

Worried about my knights middle with klemmer and the saifiti boys in there but keen to see ponga and Watson take advantage

I watched the knights 97 GF recently and last nights game reminded me of it. Fast paced, changes of direction, lots of different types of attacks. Even the lack of Organisation is something I like personally. We will get more and more “real footy players” again and that can only be a good thing

Agreed that attacking wise the Storm are sorted, Kafusi is going to be deadly imo. But a few ??? about how they're going to defend. I think Ricky is going to be spreading the butter like crazy and try and put Storm on the back foot a little. Going to be a cracker match up. If Bateman was back I'd be backing the Raiders but you can't look past the preparation of the Storm coming off a long break and the team's discipline

Capewell in for Kennedy or Walters? Assuming Kennedy is starting. Leaning towards walters?

need katoa out of the 17 otherwise if he plays hes stuck there. looks plausible otherwise. you are trying for best 2 of the 3. good luck

edit. put Mus in 16 and line up 18/19/20 in order of playing the 3 options. Cleary last can be swapped for any if they donk it, but might need to decide before the tigers game if #2/3 is best think u can only watch katoa then make a decision

Walters. He’s only got about 1 more week of real use. Kennedy you never know what can happen with Moylan

Do you need capewell as a scorer?

Not the worst option to wait a week if you don’t as if either play they are likely to increase in price more than capewell and gives you a free look at the panthers rotation

The other thing is you can wait til line ups are announced and see if Kennedy is playing. Sounds like moylan is playing and With a shorter season I’d move Kennedy on in that case. Longer season I’d consider waiting for moylan to break

Best I can come up with is Cleary 16, Musgrove 17 Katoa 18, Williams 19, Guler 20 If you like what you got from Katoa you leave Musgrove where he is and then Katoa comes in, you then see Williams and if you like his score you do nothing, otherwise switch Cleary and guler and take Guler and Katoa scores.

KATOA has been named to start on the cut to 19.

PAPALII lock. Blair Prop. Murchie onto bench.

    Burr is out (unsure why).

If Cowboys are getting long sets, allowing lots of play up by the try line, I am expecting Hess to shine, with lots of tries this season. He is looking fit, fast and eager.
