Trading out Levi was a bit of an error possibly, but I have a lot of guys I need to get out of my team. Watkins, Shib, Knight and Williams all need to be moved on and I am stuck with Luai/Fogarty for another week until Cleary is back. I have 300 grand to spend at least but my hopes of getting a gun for Knight or Williams look a bit slim with the other fires I need to put out first.

I have learnt to embrace the bad starts as they tend to end up being my best seasons in the end.

    Reallyn excited for the season!

Well done to everyone that hit 1k. Will be interesting to see what happens next round with a few expected team changes due to injuries and players returning.

That is really surprising Tragic, considering how long you've been around for. Thought you'd finished a Season around that rank at least once?

I’ll take that onboard too mate and embrace it. Earlier on today I was letting it get to me a bit but I need to just shrug it off.

Just gotta remember at the end of the day it's a game. Part of the fun is doing shit no one else does and cheering on your fella!

Mago to start and score 70 points next week

I’m actually realising I probably can’t afford Yeo or Twal but one option a bit cheaper I really like is Fotuaika. I know he won’t score 70 every week but he should be good for scores if not  50 then not far off it.

I’ll be holding Magoulias and he will get chances soon enough I reckon.

Just checked and Wolfie is 3000 spots ahead of me roughly yet only like 59 points separates us. That tells me how close it really is this year like it can change in a week, literally! I’ve never known things to be so tight as they are this year.

Yeah. I'm ranked 1482 and am only 226 points behind 1st. For comparison, even when I was top 100 at the back end of last year, I was easily double that margin behind 1st.

    I have 346k spare.

How do trades of Shiba to S. Crichton, Aubbo to Tommy T and Walters to Fotuaika sound for next week? I should just have enough to make it happen and leaves me with:

    Koro
    Haas Carrigan
    Lucy Lolo E. Katoa
    Moses Luai
    Capewell Crichton
    Tommy T Pap Drinky

    Brailey Grant Fotuaika JTB

Easy to forget this was just Round 3. I'd never be too concerned over my ranking normally after 3 rounds so I guess it's important to remember that while the season is shorter, it's still very early days. That points vs rankings gap made me feel better either way

Pretty good, especially since you already have Cleary there. I'm going for Turbo myself next week (reluctantly giving up Teddy for the forseeable future as I need to have enough cash for Cleary in R5). Fotu is one that I want but can't fit into my side.

    My plan is:

    Hughes/Magoulias -> Turbo + SCrichton/Randall/some other cheapie
BBrailey -> Cleary in R5, and probably Lomax out that week too to raise money for it.

Had a stinker of a round compared to many others here. The saving grace, though, not doing Cleary to Pearce (I know...what was I thinking) after the back up half Fogarty scored only 25. Small win.

So, after a weekend of listening on the radio I have come to the conclusion that fake crowd noise sucks. It's screws with your BP.

Anyone know what the best value couch to buy to hide behind is for someone who likely can't fit Teddy in their team against Broncos

Only sellable players are Su'A (concern over mins, but still smashed BE), Shiba (dropped) and potentially Aubusson (if dropped to bench). Could only afford Teddy by removing Aubo

According to the stats I have on the site, Yeo's effort yesterday was only the 4th time since 2014 that a player had gone over 50 tackles and 200m in a game.

2016 Sam Burgess 53 tackles 260m (vs Titans GP*)
2017 Paul Gallen 51 tackles 202m (vs Titans)
2018 Nathan Brown 51 tackles 221m (vs Cowboys)
2020 Isaah Yeo 62 tackles 225m (vs Knights GP*)

Massive effort. What's the consensus? Are we expecting him to keep it up?

Wow, I would drop Auba in a heartbeat if it meant getting Teddy.

... think I too will go with the couch option myself

I started to consider dropping Aubbo over the weekend, but Shiba's has now been dropped and it occurred to me that Wiliame could be out of the side at any moment.

Gonna be a swift kick to the nuts if Aubb's is benched, especially as I would have grabbed Capewell this round if I'd needed a centre.
