Too late on that one I think. Forward rotation was a mess with Watson and Pearce going off early. Add in a few HIA's and most middles played big minutes

He has said and do so much stupid shit in the past but this has to top the cake.
Phil Gould’s recent article on Fox Sports
“Not the side they were”: Gould claims Storm have been on “incremental decline” for years
2011 (year after we accrued 0 points) – Minor Premiers and Finals (1)
2012 – Premiers (2)
2013 – Finals (3)
2014 – Finals (6)
2015 – Finals (4)
2016 – Minor Premiers, Finals, Runner-Ups (1)
2017 – Minor Premiers, Finals, Premiers (1)
2018 – Finals, Runner-Ups (2)
2019 – Minor Premiers, Finals (1)
So in the last 4 years we have finished 1st Runner Up, 1st Premiers, 2nd Runner Ups, 1st Finals appearance.
The 4 years before that we were 2nd premiers, 3rd, 6th and 4th with finals appearances but we have been on some incremental decline since.
The bloke has no clue what he is talking about. Phil Gould PISS OFF!!!

Yeah from the outset would.have been better, I think LB has him. But just wondering if he averaged 40 he is still making good coin.

I love Melbourne as a club, they are the epitome of professionalism and consistency, but I think he might be right
While Melbourne is good enough to hang with anyone, they bring their best every single week. This means a lot of regular season wins, but they don't have that extra gear for the finals that other teams seem to. This year for example Raiders and Roosters have a much higher ceiling. If the Panthers and Eels get going they are also in that camp. Broncos pack has a chance at being so dominant that no one else can compete. That's 5 teams that while might not be favourites, could beat Melbourne in the finals. From 2007-2011 it was Melbourne then daylight
