    Thoughts on my trades?

    Hughes -> Trbo (no brainer here)

    Magoulias -> Randall (even if Randall gets 20PPG off the bench, he'll make enough cash, similar to Walters).

    BBrailey -> JTB (wouldn't normally do this but I need to free up cash to go Lomax -> Cleary next week.)

    Team after trades: $399K ITB, ranked 1480th

    Api
    Haas, Carrigan
    Lolo, Arrow, Lucy
    Croft, Mann
    Lomax, Capewell
    Drinky, Papy, Turbo

    Grant, E Katoa, JTB, Rudolf

    Randall, Luai, JHop, Wiliame

    Mind you if it does happen it won’t be named that way tomorrow and would only be announced 6:55pm on Friday Night.

    Even Stevie Wonder could see that Murray should be at lock, don't know how Wayne Bennett can't

    With the game getting quicker, they need Murray's quick PTBs in the middle to unlock Cook, which will then help Latrell get into the game in attack

    Will see what TLT throws up. Would be nice for Jones to get a month of starts haha

    Can you pick up Trbo without trading out Aubs? (i.e. for Walters) If you can, just make sure you aren’t blowing a trade on MoFo because of Fomo.
    I would also be thinking long and hard about Crichton. If Aubs is named on the bench then different story but there is a bit of a pattern emerging of anticipating shit that might happen and acting on it before it does.
    I would prioritise getting a gun in a position you need one (Tommy to WFB is good) and covering any holes in your squad that TLT might throw up.

    This post made me laugh !!
    Especially the Tommy Gun reference

    I'm bringing in Fotuaika for Knight and Capewell for Williams (and playing him at CTR). My NPRs are Walters, Wiliame, Luau and Fogarty and I'm playing JTB at 17. Banking two trades and not feeling great about it since my team is still pretty garbo but whatever

    I have a gut feeling that everyone scrambling for guns are going to have their cash building engines run out of steam before they assemble a final 17, but that also fits my own personal narrative as my team is littered with shit midrangers

    Really wish Capewell had scored 30.

    Now every Tom, Dick and Harry will grab him

    I doubt this will happen for 2 reasons;

    1. Murray does too much work in the middle and Bennett is trying to protect him a bit and prolong his career. Also, Wayne doesn't give a fuck about fantasy points.
    2. More importantly is Arrow is on the way next year and they want both in the back row !!

    Trades are:
    Knight -> S Crichton
    Hughes -> Trbojevic
    Walters -> JTB

    223k itb

    Should I use that money to upgrade Williams to someone less than 520k or get Teddy instead of TTurbo it just hold?

    Morning all,

    Does anyone know if Hipgrave passed the 'eye test'? I was too busy following Lolo. Looks like he got through 80 minutes and scored a reasonable 33 (with 14 demerits). Looking at him as an alternative cash cow to Fog and more reliable 17/18th man, provided Bryce stays away from team lists.

    He looked really good and was getting lots of wraps from the commentators but those demerits are just part of his game. only one penalty from him Is pretty surprising but he did seem like he was trying to not give them away.

    In the past ‘Hipgrave’ and ‘Reliable’ havnt been compatible terms.
    I’ll let a more clues up resident answer this one though as I didn’t see the game

    He was being compared on here last week to negative point king, Paul Carter

    Surely there are better similar priced options like JTB if you don't already have

    GreenMachine wrote:Think I’m going to give Cleary the swerve. Feels mighty risky around these well-informed parts, but seen enough this weekend to know the sort of player I think you want and I would put all of Teddy, Ponga, Turbo and Munster in no particular order above him. I would put Cleary on par with DCE and even then feels marginal with Cleary a really traditional (brilliant, mind) number 7.

    George Williams showed there is absolutely still a place for the proper number 7 at the weekend, but otherwise I want quick ball runners around the ruck. Nearly every hooker scored higher than him though. As a POD, Brandon Smith will be in my team if he sees an increase in minutes.

    They’re my musings for this TLT eve!

    Fair enough but I think the opposite re Cleary. The new rules are perfect for his direct ball running back through the ruck and he is one of the best support players in the game. Any time Koro or other sniffs out some tired defenders he will be there to reap the rewards.

    Mofo seemed to have a break out game this week. Massive work rate. Do we see this (or anything close to it) as sustainable over the season?

    75's probably aren't sustainable but the pre season talk from within the club that he would be the forward leader this year seemed to come to fruition re minutes/role. He is back to full fitness for the first time in a long time, played most of last year injured. Big chance he elevates to gun tier imo.

    Obviously any player who plays for the Titans has question marks over them though.

    Shannon Boyd did only play 23 mins in his first game since round 17 last year, he could play more mins once up to speed and that may even out the other prop mins. Hard to tell.
