Most of them were after Mann started cramping up and moved to a dummy half role. Very unusual game where you can basically throw out all stats due to Pearce and Watson going off early

It did really help with Mann's cash making ability though Very Happy BE for this round is -6

Katoa looks every bit a 50 pt player. At 409k even if he scores 45's for the next 3 weeks he will still make around 170k

Even though I think you bought Flegler last week I think he's peaked, as Lodge will probably be fully fit now and starting meaning Flegler is pretty much peaked. I.e. Flegler to Katoa

I traded Friend to Tedesco last round. Friend is probably good enough to keep for the whole season in your 14-17 but i thought it was the right time to jump on Tedesco and Friend was really the only stepping stone i had available. It really depends on the structure of your team, if you are confident in other areas of your team then jumping on Tedesco can rightfully be a priority. I think Teddy is ready to explode which is why i am getting him in SC this week too. So yeah, very much depends on the strength of the rest of your team but obviously having done the trade myself, im far from being against it.

EDIT: Sometimes in this game you have to bite the bullet and just do whatever you can to get a certain player. Right now, i think that is Tedesco. You shouldn't ruin your team in order to get him but if you dont get him now it may be very difficult to get him later and that way you lose ground on the majority that do have him. If Tedesco ends up being a bit of a flop (as if!) or gets injured, well pretty much all the top teams will have him anyway. More to be gained than lost in getting him.

Thanks for all of these details. Team is going ok and want to keep the momentum as currently 88th and want to hold some ground.

    Haas / Carrigan
    Tolo / Katoa / Leilua
    Luia / Mann
    Shiba / Capewell

No matter how hard you try, you can't get last week's score from someone you trade in this week.

Yes I did, cost me $50 odd k, and 39 points. Do I compound that with an extra trade lost?

    Well it is hahah

    Teddy probably tonnes up.

We actually have a decent record against the Roosters when we aren't expected to win, but hard to see how we get close with our outs this week. Lodge is probably the key for us, he'll need to get over the top of the Roosters props early if we are any chance, but I doubt he has the fitness yet.

Hors to Katoa could be good if you think their last round's scores are indicative of how they will score going forward. Will free up a bit of cash too.
Honestly its a really tough call with the squad you've got there, I'd probably save your trades.

    Carrigan, Grant, Rudolf, Luai
    Hopoate, Magoulias, Walters, Aubusson

    595K ITB

Obvious out is Shiba, but kind of hoping Aubs gets benched so I save some money by getting Capewell in. WFB also needs strengthening and leaning towards Ponga or Teddy over Turbo who I just don't trust.

Main questions I have right now are what cows to bring in but its slim pickings at the moment - and whether to nab Yeo or go for a gun WFB

You have a pretty similar team to mine.

Yours - Katoa, Shiba, Luai, Magoulias, Walters, Hopoate and $595K ITB.
Mine - Flegler, Horsburgh, Guler, Fuimaono, Capewell, JTB and $0 ITB.

Of what you got I want Katoa. Not sure I would buy any of what I have now except Capewell.
Therefore, trade 1 would be Shibasaki to Capewell.

The rest is up to you but I'd be holding some cash to upgrade Mann to Cleary.

I've heard he is confirmed out for this week.

Roosters currently $1.40. Can I bet my house please?

Thanks, yeah it might be flegler or horsburgh to katoa and keep the change for upgrading mann to cleary.
I think horse scores 50, katoa 40-45, and f*** knows with flegler.

I’m thinking Friend is a potential trade-in - aside from Turbo he’s the non-centre under 700k that looks like a gun IMO. No way would I be trading him out if I had him, even for Teddy.

Yeah 100% one trade will be Shib/Aubo to Capewell, depends on team lists

Mann can stick around for a few more weeks, his output (even before last week's 70) has been solid so far

Do you think it's too late to grab JTB? An average off 35 will still net him 100k+ over three week

Only other low BE players I'm looking as a cash maker are Crichton, Best or Fogarty. J Saf has an appealing BE but scores similarly to JTB at a higher price point

He sat out training today, with Paix filling in. No word on how serious the injury is (or even anything official on whether Turpin is definitely out for the weekend or not)
