I think my trades are done mate. I have had to use 4 again so I need to conserve trades from here on out!

So I had 346k spare time begin with

    Taumalolo to Murray
    Shiba to S. Crichton
    Aubusson to Tedesco
    Walters to Fotuaika

Leaves me with 65k spare and:

    Koro
    Haas Carrigan
    Lucy Murray E. Katoa
    Moses Luai
    Capewell S. Crichton
    Tedesco Drinky Pap

    Brailey Grant Fotuaika Rudolf
    JTB Magoulias Wiliame Cleary

Thoughts mate? I’m pretty happy tbh.

Hopefully I climb up the rankings this week after going south the last two rounds.

I meant Murray coming in @mattnz not Koloamatangi.

Love it, especially since you already have Cleary.

After this week, your only real concerns are buying Lolo back and moving on the cheapies. Your side definitely looks a bit better than mine does. For reference, mine is the following, with 574K ITB (to be used to buy Cleary next week and Lolo back the week after)

    Api
    Haas, Carrigan
    Arrow, Lucy, E Katoa
    Croft, Mann
    Capewell, Lomax
    Turbo, Papy, Drinky

    Grant, Fotuaika, BBrailey, Rudolf

My ranking doesn’t though mate but there is still plenty of time.  I fucked up big time last week playing Magoulias in my 17 and played with 16 due to Shiba. I plummeted to just outside top 4000, but the only way is up now as I feel I have a much better side than what my ranking indicates! Onwards and upwards as they say I guess.

Still mate you’re a better player than me and I won’t catch you. I’m certain you’ll be right up there again this season mate. It’s all good fun though.

It’s almost tempting to give Teddy the C this week, but I won’t do it I’ll leave it on Haas.

I really like that you have Arrow there mate. I think our teams are quite similar actually but that you’re generating slightly more cash than me. Like my team value end of last round was $11.01 mil. I’m certain yours would be higher than mine.

Mann and Lomax continue to rake in the money took for ya. They’ve been great for ya and I wish I had at least one of them.

You’ll figure out a way to get in Teddy or Ponga down the line as well as another gun half once Mann stops making money.

I think the issue you and I may both have is trying to get in another gun hooker like Cookie or McInnes  in the next 4-6 weeks. I’d like to be able to in time but I just dunno if I’ll have generated as much cash as what others have.

Fair enough Smile I made the mistake of buying Magoulias but luckily didn't play him, also I dodged a bullet by buying Capewell instead of Shiba (mattnz deserves credit for that one).

As for captains, I'll go against my wild side and captain Haas, as while I love a good POD captain, none of the other options in my squad are likely to score more than him. In SC, I'm captaining Papy though.

Arrow is one I'm pretty happy with, I started with him as a way to zag against the Fifita owners, and it's saved me at least one trade, if not two. He should be more than 4% owned but I'm not complaining Very Happy My team value is only 10.65 mil but I have almost 600k in the bank so that's why.

As for getting a gun hooker, that's my next target once I've got Cleary and Lolo back. I have a solid enough WFB line and I'm pretty happy to play Cleary and Croft for the rest of the season if it means getting a gun hooker instead of gun half. Cam Smith is the one I really want but McInnes and Cook are also amazing. Ideally I get two of them but worst case scenario I have only one and hold Api/Grant to the end.

Also, don't get too disheartened about your rank. I was rank 7433 at the start of the round and got up to 1480 by the end of it. The margin between me and 1st spot is only 226 points, which is really close.

Wouldn't stress, I was around 4-5k this time last year and finished 20th overall by the end. You're making 4 very solid trades

Why everyone think Bateman news is good for Horse owners? He's played 50 mins last 2 at lock and will keep playing 50 mins and is scoring in the 40s. I'm still thinking of selling. Didn't think Bateman was back soon with all rumours floating around

Starting spot secure and means he can sit for an extra week or two.

Job security doesn't matter when he is scoring 30 points less than 2RF guns. If you have him maybe keep him as his BE is only 27 points. No point in trading him in though, JTB, Katoa, Fotuaika, Carrigan, Saifiti brothers are better options if you want a midrange cash cow.

If I sell him along with Aubo Brailey Walters I get to keep Lolo and get Teddy Yeo Paix and another new cow

After reading everything in here I'm starting to rethink holding on to Brailey. Think it might be worth just ditching him now to MoFo as a cut price keeper. Dude is a beast and is probably the Titans best player other than Arrow.

Trades this week would then be

Brailey, Walters, Shibasaki -------> MoFo, Paix, S. Crichton
    Ponga Yeo the Mann
    Ponga Yeo the Mann
