Worth noting he got benched straight after missing a one on on tackle on Liu up the middle that lead to a try. Seibold has clearly seen it's better for the team to give Haas a spell and bring him back fresh at the end of the game

Agree and old rules the last 2 85s are low 70s IMO but scoring 85s without the line breaks and tries I know are coming eventually are hard to ignore. Are you looking to bring him in now? So far spreading the value had worked for me, ranked 9th after round 3

I posted this last night and would appreciate your opinion.

“Madness to sell drinkwater (he’s likely my 18th man this week) to allow me to turn Su’a and Horse into haas and cheapie next week? Don’t think the couch I’ve been hiding behind is big enough”

Both horse and Su’a were probably 2 weeks from milking so I may have to hold and drinkwater has some better scores in him. I just don’t want haas getting 85-100x2 for everyone and having me start 30-50 points behind people each week.

For me the plan hasn't changed. Wait for a low score to come, be it via interchange, down game or HIA, then grab him for around 900k after a price drop. In the mean time I'll continue to chase value guns. I don't think it's worth selling Drinkwater(who could be final 17 worthy at WFB) and 2 cows to bring in one player. The downside to the no Haas strategy is that it's very hard to pivot out of

If the game was close, Haas would have stayed on. No point playing him 80 when they are getting thrashed.

After round 2, I was comfortable with my decision not to have him.
Low (for him) 52 in round 2, and his round 1 score was heading somewhere similar until he went on a junk time slapsie run and added a bunch to his score.

No origin, Broncos injuries and new rules changed the game though. I brought him in for Taumalolo - tipping point in the decision was to give me a reliable captain. If Lolo missed 2 weeks didn't want to have to rely on Koroisau as (c)

I don't think anyone who bought him did so on the expectation he'd be a regular 80 minute player. If he plays 60 minutes a week that is still more than pretty much every other prop.

Always enjoy your logic mate and value is name of the game but I don’t like this idea around playing with BEs on this sort of player. You pay the money, you get the points.

It’s like not owning Ronaldo in FPL. Just giving too much points head start to the obvious and logical
    Week in week out captain

You know as well as anyone minutes is not a factor he. He is currently going at half his normal TB rate (will only increase) and yet to break the line this year in 4 matches. He is a base 200m and 40 tackles guy with everything else just cream.

    He’s under-owned at 39% imo.

There’s guns and cows and there’s mega guns. You don’t play HIA and BE games with the latter. You just put up cash and buy the points

I agree in principle but I feel the only problem now is that the new rules meaning higher tackle counts, more time in play, and tired defenses for him to skip around and eventually through mean his floor has gone up a fair bit and short of an injury I don’t see him scoring under 60 do you?

Broncos barely had any ball but when they did and roosters got a touch fatigued the amount of 1 on 1 challenged he had to just easily bump out of or offload from like they were ants to him was scary

I think our idea was right but without injury I just see him going up. We love value and I actually see him as 100k underpriced atm. Add being the standout captain with scores doubling then that’s pushing me towards bringing him in. Hopefully cook can do well to steady my hand before I need to make my decision

I think you are wrong here. He didn't get benched because the score was blowing out, he got benched because he missed a crucial tackle that led to a try

It's the job of the A defender to close the gap behind the ruck and he completely whiffed

No doubt he will easily be the number 1 prop. Still think there is better value elsewhere

Maybe a mixture of both scenarios?

If the game was closer and he had missed that tackle would he have been pulled?

Totally agree that he is a must, will still end up around a 70 average for the year. It would take 3 trades to pivot out of the strategy now so I'm pretty stuck in riding it out

I moved to grab Haas when DFifita went down. DFifita was my value Haas in me expecting a 60 average from an early season big score run. I got lucky with back to back 80s from the trade in when Fifita didn’t make R3. It’s so comforting owning Haas and no captain worry, it’s a good feeling. I didn’t think he could match last years scoring but it’s easier owning him than hoping the value buys elevate and match his score vs value

I really want to ditch Horse for Mofo. I did Horse stat analysis and his best score ever 59 vs titans was his most minutes tackles TBs and offloads in a game.

I've seen people say Mofo last week was a flash in the pan but he was really talked up pre season and many would've started with him if named rd 1

Rugby convert Ben Te’o re-signed with the Broncos for the rest of 2020 – seven years after leaving the club – on Thursday but Seibold said he was weeks away from playing.

Haas must be one of the most genetically gifted props in NRL history.

Watching him last night, I never once saw him sucking them in. For 30 mins int he first half he was involved in everything, never once looked tired or gasping. Amazing Motor. If he was on any other team it would be scary. Imagine if he played for the Storm, rabbits or Eels. They would almost instantly be the #1 team.
