Did anyone ever think you could buy a player at 231k and by seasons end they were 912k?

Haas was incredible, we have seen plenty of rookie priced players become keepers over the year. DCE, Adam Reynolds, Hodkinson, Cleary etc
I don't personally remember a true centre going close. I think we need to pump the breaks a little on an 18 year old with 5 career first grade games rivaling the best seasons of Mark Gasnier, Justin Hodges and Jamie Lyon

You think he is going to be the first centre in 10+ years to average 45+?
He does look the goods though. I could see him averaging 40. He'll be priced about 33-34, so not the worst deal for a potential keeper at centre.

I'm not against the move if you think you are getting a keeper centre for a 6-7 point discount. Most trading him in are going to be the same people looking to trade him out in 3 weeks after a few 30s

I definitely don’t see the appeal of getting Best now. More likely he’s already had his two best scores of the season then it is he averages 40+ IMO. I think he’s going to be priced pretty much at his long term value from Tuesday.

This is a funny year, I think we were just spoiled last season with Nikora and Bateman and now complain with a score around 30 at center.multiple.scoregasms wrote:

Nikora and Bateman are definitely not the norm for fantasy. We might have 1 similar scorer with Capewell, but he was much more expensive than Nikora.
I think it's crazy to treat centre like a priority position when there is 15 blokes you could tell me end up in the top 2 scorers and I wouldn't be surprised

Oh I didn’t know those guys managed to do it. I’m fairly new I guess.
Yeah I’ll be staying away. I will however hide behind the couch when he plays, we need an emoji for that by the way

Yeah, I guess if Randall doesn't join the bench, Macca looks solid. Still burning 2 trades and how much money can he make from next week onwards, that's the thing to think about. Probably will be a straight swap to a gun however if he keeps scoring like he did on the weekend.
Macca is capable of an AVG of 50 which would make him a good 14-17 keeper. Priced at 40 odd points, he's not a bad option.

Haas is the first I remember going from rookie price to captaincy material in 1 season. The other guys either did it in second year or third year (Angus Crichton, Jai Arrow, Cameron Murray etc) or were below captaincy tier. Starting halves seem to be the best bet to go from base price to keepers if they are any good

Also the new 6 again rule favours the tackle-bots in fantasy... like macca, mcinnes, etc

If Grant starts getting 80 minutes, he has a chance to be of that level in his rookie season toomultiple.scoregasms wrote:

Realistic to expect he is an 80 min man for them going forward?
That was AOB's plan with Brailey, so potentially looking for the same thing from macca. Watson to rotate through the lock role as per pre season.. new rules make that even more viable as well.
Guess it depends if Macca can play well enough moving forward too.

Hmm I'm down to 18 trades and would love to make no trades this week but really need to move Walters out and upgrade at wfb.. Going to burn through these trades
