I think my trades are hopefully done. Thoughts?
Capewell to Latrell
Wiliame to Hamiso
Leaves me with only 41k spare (14 trades left)though and the following:
(I am now realising one of Rudolf or JTB is likely to have stay in my 17 for the season)
Koro
Haas MoFo
Carrigan Yeo E. Katoa
Cleary Moses
Latrell S. Crichton
Teddy Ponga Pap
Grant JTB Rudolf Lucy (Gosh I hope he plays)
Paix Luai Hamiso Magoulias
I can use Magoulias as a loop as well. If Lucy doesn’t have to take one of Paix, Luai or Hamiso’ score.

I hate trading players who are still useful.

Could sione mata'utia be a option for centre since talua is gone, or is he too risky

I can see both sides and Latrell been on my list since R3. But using the example of the quicker game and helping FBs that’s for the rovers not the lazy cunt Latrell. He absolutely needs big attacking outputs every week to go above 40 without GK. his RM totals are poor for such a gun player.Mulvy wrote:
They do, but in his case, I think you can argue:
His stats at FB were from his debut year a few years ago when thrown in at FB when he was 18, not as relevant as you might think.
Loses 8 points for GK but FB as a position nearly always scores higher than pure centre.
The quicker game seems to be helping FBs (more so the energetic ones that sniff around the ruck, but still)
He's young and still improving.

He has been an HIA/injury risk in the past. Made of tissue at times.
The other worrying factor is in 2019 he averaged just 29 from 8 starts at 2RF with no scores over 40.
Scored 23 in his only game from 2018
Was a good scorer back in 2017
So you have to worry that even if he stays fit, is the recent 66 in mostly base stats an outlier or not?

So,
Players I plan to keep:
Koro, Haas, MoFo, Carrigan, Yeo, Cleary, Moses, Latrell, Teddy, Ponga, Pap, Grant, Lucy so 13 players
Then I have left:
S. Crichton, JTB, Rudolf, E. Katoa, Paix, Luai, Hamiso and Magoulias.
No way will I get a team of 17 keepers. I also realise I’ll likely have to hold one of JTB or Rudolf.
E. Katoa I hope keeps making money and then hopefully I can upgrade him to someone like a Cook or even Macca.
The Magoulias trade in will haunt me all season.

ANDREW MCCULLOUGH THE 80 MINUTE MAN

Andrew McCullough looks set to continue his 80 minute role, with ever knowledgable Knights reporter Barry Toohey indicating the coach will continue to use Macca in the same way as Brailey prior to his injury.
I expect Watson to continue his roving lock role once he returns from injury. Macca is looking like a great pick up right now if you have avoided the chaos at centre.

I finally worked out a way to bring Tedesco in
Friend -> E. Clark
Capewell -> Tedesco
Perhaps a little unconventional but last weeks
Croft -> Best
Drinkwater -> Latrell
was also unconventional and shone (at least it did last week) despite the nay-saying
I just get the sense that Friend will continue to be hampered by Verrilis and is not a keeper, while Tedesco is the best affordable response I can make to not having Haas (C).
Leaves me with
Grant
Twal Horsburgh
Leilua Carrigan Yeo
Moses Williams
Best Mitchell
Tedesco Trbojevic Papenhuyzen
Koroisau Taunua-Brown Su'A Clark
Paix Rudolf S. Crichton Williame
Is this valid?

I don’t see Luai going too well against the Storm so he’s probs a sell next week but geez wouldn’t it be great if he could even score a 30. Tell me I’m dreaming I know.....

If you want a cheap midrangey centre, and think his job security is OK,. Brenko Lee only $368k and has a decentish average at centre
