I love using static in meetings because it makes me appear smarter than I am. Just one of those words that has a certain aura about it I feel.
Either that or everytime I use it I sound like a dick and the rest of the Shift have a secret betting pool on how many times I will say it a week

I’d do it mate. I can’t see Easts scoring slowing down. They will keep scoring lots of points.
I think we will both be playing Hammer next week mate as Teddy won’t play.
I’ve got Paix and Luai and not many options to sell them too.
I’ve also got E. Katoa and Carrigan. Ideally I’ll hold Carrigan. JTB could be close to peaking too in the next fortnight.
I was glad Lucy played out 73mins, just hoping he was not pulled off early due to that ankle again and it was purely precautionary him coming off early just to make sure the Tigers didn’t suffer anymore injuries to the forwards.
Well done Cookie owners. He’s the one player I want out of them all but can not afford him.
I'm most likely gonna buy Flanno Jr, but not sure if I would sell Papy, Katoa or Lucy for him. At the moment my decision logic is:
Teddy out - Lucy probably the man to go, he's just about capped out if he keeps his current average in the high 40s, plus I can hold Papy and pray he goes big vs the Warriors
Teddy in - Papy probably goes, as Lucy is up against the Dogs, but that ankle worries me a bit. Papy is bleeding cash though

also will grant be playing next week ? surely he can do early plea ?
People used the same reasoning to say Drinkwater would score big against the warriors and he didn't but then scored big against Tigers in a comfortable loss. Pappy might score well but you shouldn't and I don't believe there's much justification to say that he will score well as even in comfortable wins some players just won't see the ball. He's realistically just as likely to score well against any team given he's not a huge part of the storm's attacking structure so its going to depend on him seeing the ball. Warriors could also bounce back after having their coached sacked and play a super tight defensive game.
I think if you want to sell him because its the best play for your team then do it. I still think his big score is just around the corner but its been around the corner for a few weeks now so my confidence in him is waning.

What an interesting couple of nights. Didn't get to get on the forum last night, so just a few thoughts encompassing both nights.
How did owners feel about Latrell last night? Jeez it's hard work as a new owner watching him. It's 100% quality over quantity as the fella doesn't mind staying away at times, but I personally really enjoyed his accumulation of 52 points. Some really nice touches. Just wish he kept himself involved. It's amazing how he racks up something like 5 or more sets without even touching the ball - no other fullback in the NRL would even attempt that business. But as long as he keeps up those point scoring plays, I'll ride this thing out and enjoy the turmoil.
JTB & Katoa - ouch. Hope that doesn't dent their money making too much as I have no intention of moving either of them on any time soon, considering other headaches.
RTS - getting juicier by the week. I remain interested.
Pappy - what the balls do you do with this guy? I don't know if I can go one more round. No way you can sell him before he plays the Warriors, but far out... this guys' been hard to own.
Luai - why is he so shit?
Lomax - the irony with this kid is I brought him in as a probable keeper in the centres this year when I hoped and assumed he was to be the St George fullback for 2020. Didn't pan out that way, but man he's solid. Of course I'll break him now, but so far, what a blessing in the centres he's been.
So many missed cows in Saints/Titans match - Fogarty, T.Boyd, Clark... even Clune and Jolliffe to a degree. Missed every single one of these guys.
Kerr - chugging along fine, but do we expect to see a bit more from him now that Graham is gone? I just want the guy to throw an offload once in 2020. Just a hint of that All-Stars form would be nice. And I wish he'd stop looking like Vaughn too. I constantly watch Saints games and see Vaughn doing damage and I get excited, thinking it's Kerr... but it never is.
Only saw extended highlights of the Tigers vs Cowboys game because now that I'm finally paying for Kayo it shat itself for the first time ever, after over 6 months of free trials without an issue. First night when I'm paying for it - fucked. Couldn't believe it.
Anyway, of those highlights;
Drinkwater - I obviously saw his try, but not much else. He actually had a good game overall? Got involved?
Marsters - seriously considered hopping aboard this week in desperate centre times. Still scored just below his BE... tempting prospect but just not sure now that I brought Latrell in already.
Twal - what the balls happened?? Didn't see this on the highlights and missed it reading back over select posts tonight. Injury?
HTF - watching him last week after I brought him in then, I was already worried. Could he possibly be shitter? Just doesn't look at all like he wants to be a part of the action. I only saw highlights, but going off last week and what I saw in highlights, do we see him in the 17 next week? I guess he'll have to be on the wing at very least, but jeez. Kid seriously needs to want to be a part of the action.
Regarding last game tonight, as an Eels fan, I probably felt more pride in the loss tonight than the first 5 wins. End scoreboard was disappointing, but fuck me the Eels played well tonight. Loved their effort. Gotta be said, though, you could just call the comp off now and give it to Roosters. No doubt they'll go 3 in a row, but I guess we need the next 14 rounds to keep this Fantasy thing going at least.
Moses disappointing, but I'll take that score in that game.
Nathan Brown - very nice PPM tonight, despite not really being too tempting this year before tonight. I personally didn't think there was too much in the high shot, but popular opinion is he'll be on the sidelines again?
Crichton - still scoring well without tries, but too expensive now... for me.
Gutho - almost wish I'd just started with him at his price. I presume he's probably outscoring Pappy so far this season? Plus I just dig the dude.
Tedesco - interesting how that played out. Big hit but he seemed okay at the end of the match. Eels had done well to keep his scoring low(ish), and to me personally the 34 seemed pretty generous, but I'll be interested to see how that score affects his price. I just saw him soaring into the millions and well out of reach, but tonight changes things a little. I guess whether he lines up next week or not is a huge factor. If he does, you'd assume he gets another 100+ and his price climbs again. If not, next match will be against Storm which possibly stalls his price again. Something I'll monitor closely.
And just finally... Kearney. Jeez, I know he cops some (probably well deserved) criticism, but fuck me. Seems very harsh to me how this played out.
Anyway, that's just my thoughts on the weekend so far. Sorry for being a long-winded boring turd.

I have the same choice to make but am picking Rudolph. Higher average this season and even in 80 minute games Brailey seems to get gassed and get more demerits. But admittedly its pretty close and probably cant go wrong with either.

Yeah I'm really torn on what to do with him. I hate considering match-ups, but I think the Warriors is his best opportunity to score well this year. Whether he does or not is obviously not guaranteed. But it's almost like a last chance match for me. If he can score well against the Warriors I may keep him, but if not, it's probably the last straw.
Just the fact he hasn't even gone a little bit big once so far is my main concern. It just says to me, even if he goes big (eventually) do we just expect a bunch of 30's in the weeks that follow that?

This is what's making me lean towards selling Papy, though if Teddy gets rested then I'll likely hold Papy just to avoid having to play two cheapies back there and sell Lucy instead.

My theory with Brailey is that he is due score slightly overs from his sub standards currently. Sharks last in comp in runs from dummy half, that will have to change and Tracey dropping off bench could mean he’s comfortable with 80 with running and the standard hooker role. Clutching probably I knowEmpyreal wrote:

Mofo played big mins due to the injuries but I hope it’s the start of regular 70+ mins stints. He was still running hard and fast til the end.

thinking latrell to paps spot and take a punt on Sione Mata'utia in ctr know he has had issues in the past but its a slight pod and think it could pay off

Not a bad shout. Looked at him last week (Mata'utia), and that's two good scores now. Would be a real interesting prospect if he went on some kind of run.

Yeah I am looking at him too, likely plays 2RF for me this week to cover injuries and suspensions, then move him into centers and play Mitchell as WFB3eyipftwari wrote:

Morning all 753 with Turbo, JMK and Hopo to go. 850 looks a possibility
