I've got a few mates that are Knights fans. After not making the finals since 2013, after a few wins they are carrying on like 96 Chicago Bulls. While I like most of the players and think they should be a top 8 squad, the celebrations are a little premature

"Action by defence that prevents a try being scored" - That's too open for interpretation which is vulnerable to inter-observer variation. Technically, an action resulting in a penalty could be argued to be a TS

Even without cash if you grab RTS you can get any second rower except Lolo and Bateman. Plenty of options to bounce back

They can still have their fun and live in their moment. They've had plenty of disappointment to live through already. Otherwise you're saying only Storm and Roosters fans can celebrate each win haha

I have never been a fan of it as a fantasy stat because it's too open for interpretation. A one on one tackle on the 40 metre line after a quick play the ball is probably a try saving tackle, but this will never get awarded. It seems like it was brought in to boost fullbacks who make tackles over the line

So the stat that people thought was dodgiest - he keeps, and loses the less controversial one.

This year every TS has been in goal or on line. Friend didn’t get one on Foran, Turbo on Coates which were far more defined. They need a hard and fast rule and stick to it

Nothing wrong with celebrating a win but it's still very early days

Yeah mate, its the two lost trades that cause the issue. Also my main two outs were fairly poddy so my sideways shuffle is really a backwards step vs those upgrading this week.

This. If the opposite winger chases a player down and makes the tackle, we all say that prevented a certain try. Either it needs to be applied liberally, or they tidy up the definition. Is it a Fantasy thing or NRL stats thing?

I think if they got rid of it from fantasy you would lose nothing. Nobody will ever pick a player based on the potential for try save points, and its the murkiest definition of all the stats we have

Were we expecting position updates after that round?

Losing a POD that is killing it really hurts. Like you said it puts you a week behind on upgrades and burns trades

Its a stats thing. Fanhub/Fantasy have no control* over the data they are given

One of the stats guys was on one of the podcasts last year. And one of the things they talked about is that they don't change the definitions of stats year to year because they want things to be comparable.

That's why I was a little surpised by the change in definition to missed tackle/tackle break when scoring a try was made this year.

*Unless a bunch of people complain about it, apparently

Ended up 4th for the round, 16 points off the weekly and 7 points off some sweet KFC.

Toying with the idea of playing Hammer for one week since he is semi popular, which would mean either trading Turbo>DCE this week and Mann>RTS next week, or just going Turbo>Teddy next week
