Next weeks problem haha.  But yeah, that's what I'm thinking, if can hold this week, there's merit to holding until he returns.   Hopefully he's even back a week early.

My possible trade outs (to partner Turbo) are Katoa and Luai so my thinking is

Katoa - Back next week, maybe week after - He holds his 50.4 (not including injury game) average and is 610K+ by R11-12 (extra 70-80K profit and points)

Luai - Prey he has a blinder of a game; however, he is averaging 30 next to Cleary this year and a historical average of 29.6 next to him. If Luai scores around 30 this week he nets 10K and is probably a sell next week if not the week after (extra 5K with 30 avg).

This analysis leads to selling Luai

Just pondering out loud, an alternative to say Averillo. Forgot about Tevaga coming back, but if he goes 40/40/20 can make approx 100k and should still have a bench role going forward with a bunch of our pack on long term injuries (Afoa, Ah Mau etc)

edit: saw your edit, yes he is FRF - that is probably not too helpful then to plug the 2RF gaps

Yeah true. I guess my problem is that I will be real tight on getting the cash for Teddy next week. Bringing in Averillo and Niu for Guler and J Saifiti gets me to within 10k based on current numbers, which could end up working.

Cutting Katoa definitely gets me the money, but only worth it if Murchie helps me get some other 2RF cover in a couple of weeks.

Christopher Rieve (whoever he is (Supeman?)) also says at least 3 weeks for Katoa,

I'm just hoping Luai can do one of his Michael Jackson style dances around a few defenders and score a try. Gives him a great score and gets his cash going again. I'm playing him this week so this week would be a perfect time for him to do that. Very Happy

Ok which out of Taumalolo or Ponga would you make a priority? Ponga means playing with 16 this week

I think I’ll switch to supercoach next year instead of fantasy. Seems to be the better product with devs that care

One thing with selling a fit player instead of an injured player is what happens next week?
Lose a half for a week and you are forced trading again
Luai probably doesn't lose cash, plays first up (If you want to put at 18th man for a look) or at worst you get his points this week if players are tight

Think Drinkwater last week, one good score and it changes the game.
Worst case just sell for Niu next week

Would you go Jurbo over Matto this week if it meant next week Drinkwater becomes Cleary / DCE?

What happens when Drinkwater scores another 45+ and has a single digit BE?

Seems to be a lot of shitty trade ideas through around just to get 17players. ID sooner go a week of 15 players, then waste trades to get some spud scoring a 7 and screwing my plan moving forward.

I am also really keen to hold him for Morgo's return (August)

45 and 52 next to Morgo in the first two rounds this year. If that sort of game style continues when Morgo returns he will definitely be a season keeper.

I switched last season after I thought NRLF's new format in 2018 was ill-conceived and no changes were made despite the backlash.

SC kinda sucks though tbh. I almost didn't bother playing at all this season until 2 days before Rd 1 because my bro-in-law wanted me to. It's just way too easy to stack your team with guns fairly early on and becomes largely a guessing game picking your 17 based on who you think will get big attacking stats that week.

Need some sort of happy medium. 21 man squads seems too few given that many people have been short of a 17 through no fault of their own. If they want to keep 21 man squads, then more trades should be given imo.

I'm planning to keep either Papy or Drinkwater, with the other becoming Teddy/Ponga at some point in the run home. Got much bigger problems until then and will probably run out of trades forcing both as holds

    100% I wouldn't be trading if I didn't have to
Need a centre this week so will have to decide if its worth it (and future cover) or just bring in two guns that make up that difference lost with 16

Half the game is balancing when to grab the cheap players vs waiting a week and paying 50k more
Also you don't get many quality cows that come along, hard picking the good earners or benchies that are playable for future cover

    Folau,Averillo,Niu,Farnsworth,Coates

All a dice roll but preference in that order for me this week (Assuming Niu next week)

Really feels like a bye round this week, loving the trade options to be honest

I like the squad size of supercoach but that is it. I've been leaving out guys like Leilua every single week in supercoach, while they are borderline keepers in fantasy
