Damn you quoted my shocking typos before I could ninja edit Laughing

But yeah I left Leilua out last week and have traded him out this week despite all the carnage.

Feels like a bye round this week, loving the trade options to be honest

    Folau = Talau??

Personally, I like NRLF as it is, 21 man squad means you can't just grab all the good cheapies. Makes them all tough decisions.

Not a massive fan of looping but you can't prevent it while keeping rolling lockout, and I do like rolling lockout.

Probably should bring in Lolo but I’m thinking of the extra cash if I bring in Matterson so my team is looking like this after trades

    12 trades 270k bank

    Turbo to Niu
    Katoa to Matterson

    Cook
    Haas JTB
    Yeo Matterson Leilua
    Moses Cleary
    Averillo Niu
    Papy Lomax HTF

    Koro
    Grant
    Rudolf
    Luai

    Clune
    Carrigan
    Teddy
    Paix

Next week I’ll try to bring in Ponga possibly by flicking JTB or Rudolf. How does this sound?

21 man squad size is alright, but they should really increase the trades if they want that. Just too easy to get caught up with injuries, as this week is showing

Winner should be about how can create the best team, not who's team stays fit

If they increased the squad size then I am sure everyone would have started with the likes of on their bench:

HTF(after his run in the 9's), Hoy (Origin - inevitably playing after suspension), Burton (Origin call-up), C.Johns (Origin), et all knowing they would all get a run sooner or later.

I would have had the guys on the fringe of my squad. Yeo, Jack Williams, Kerr. Would have been very similar to RDT where my only non player round 1 was HTF

If people are having problems naming a full 17 with a 21man squad, I don't think they'd fix that by adding in more non-players

People wouldn't pick HTF if they could instead pick Watkins/Wiliame/Lomax who actually started round 1.

Think I might just straight swap Katoa for Latrell, gives me Latrell and Crichton this week, then Latrell and Best rest of the year touch wood.

Don't really want to trade Katoa, but I don't want to wait three weeks.

Also not sure if Best is the end of season option, was contemplating flipping him to Latrell this week, but centre is such a cluster fuck who knows.

I switched last season after I thought NRLF's new format in 2018 was ill-conceived and no changes were made despite the backlash.

SC kinda sucks though tbh. I almost didn't bother playing at all this season until 2 days before Rd 1 because my bro-in-law wanted me to. It's just way too easy to stack your team with guns fairly early on and becomes largely a guessing game picking your 17 based on who you think will get big attacking stats that week.

Need some sort of happy medium. 21 man squads seems too few given that many people have been short of a 17 through no fault of their own. If they want to keep 21 man squads, then more trades should be given imo.

Fair call cheers for that! I might just not play next year

Think I'm going to roll the dice on S.Mat in for Katoa this week now given the injury update. Hopefully he can remain healthy

Well its part of the game. They aren't going to remove rolling lockout because they want the consistent engagement, and therefore cannot remove looping, really..

About the only thing you could do is "lock" all players in the positions as of first lock out (so can't be moved up or down) but still allow trades, but of course that means you'd be locked to trading a like for like player if its a starting 13 player.
