Thoughts on potential trades (or non-trades?) I think I've got an idea, but not too sure, at least not before TLT.

My potential trades are two of HTF, Averillo and Wiliame out for Niu and Ryan Sutton. This is contigent on Sutton keeping his current spot and minutes, in which case I'm all over that, as I need one more good scorer in my 17 and having it be a FRF/2RF dual is perfect for my team balance. Niu is the best cash cow of a bad bunch, though Bayley Sironen is another option for me there.

Got 12 trades left before using any this week, 120k ITB and the following team.

    Api
    Haas, Fotu
    Lolo, Yeo, Young
    Croft, Flanagan
    Lomax, Crichton
    Ponga, Teddy, Papy

    Grant, Carrigan, Mann, Luai

    Talau, HTF, Averillo, Wiliame

Pretty sure this week will just be Paix to Niu (or another perfect cow) and then sitting with 9 remaining for a few weeks. Only 2-3 players short of a good 17 I think but have no cash and average cows to get there. Just need to hold for a while and pick up keepers when I can.

With McIntyre likely out I probably loop Mitchell and Crichton at CTR to see Mitchell's score first.

How safe do we think Sutton is in that spot? I like the look of him at that price but is there anyone coming back that could unseat him? Pretty sure Tapine got benched for him.
He looked pretty good. In saying that Lui always seems to find his way into starting. I'd like to see Havilli given a start

Barring any TLT surprise or injury, 1 trade for me this week I think.

I am considering keeping Drinkwater instead for this reason, and DPP helps to cover both spots.

He's almost the same price as Fog right now anyway. Hoping he can go on a run of good scores later on in the year.

Fog will nab a try at this point and jag a 60+, but when? Would be nice if he does it this week against the Warriors.

I went Drinkwater to Doueihi last week for the half cover so I can move Luai out soon without that concern. I watched Doueihi pretty closely and he likes to get involved, works hard (opposite of Latrell? Wink). Put up a 40 with no attacking returns, obviously not expecting massive scores but if he can average around 40 I'll be happy. Good option if you want to move out Drinkwater but still want the cover. Might be seen as a luxury trade for some though as a non gun

Sutton started lock 11 times last year and averaged under 40.

I mean he's still cheap and potentially good value, but last week was his highest ever fantasy score, don't expect that to be repeated every week.

Yeah I don’t expect him to average 50+, probably around the 40 mark. Holbrook seems to really like him saying he was a future star and he was planning to play him 60 minutes for his first game back from an ACL. Not sure if he keeps his spot over Hipgrave when Proctor returns. Hipgrave has played middle off the bench this season already so could be an option. Definitely taking a punt if I do trade him in

268k and if u have enough trades I can definitely see the appeal

I think past stats should be looked at with a grain of salt given that this season has been the highest scoring ever (so far since round 3 for fantasy) and most players are pumping out career high scores. Other side of this is that even if he averages 45 he still won't go much over 600k with the current MN.

Think I've got enough to take the punt. Especially with that spud Magoulias still hanging around in my 21

decisions to make this week, main one is whether to jump on Pearce or wait for Moses to come down, though I'm also having thoughts about Best, whether i abandon my keeper plans for him, take his money and do a runner, which would net me more than enough to jump to Teddy from Mann.

Good points. For me, if I buy him, it's to hold to the end as a 17th or 18th man and forward cover for any injuries.

I traded in Hudson Young last week for a similar price and score expectations, so I'm not going to tell anyone to avoid Sutton. More to just be cautious about expectations

I think at the current prices you should hold for Moses and ideally get him after he's played 1 game. Even a 60 in his return game will see him drop below 700k which is only just above what Pearce is currently priced at and Moses should go better for the remainder of the year. Other points to consider if that Moses could get re-injured again and you will be missing Pearce's points for the next week or 2 before you bring in Moses.

If your looking for a pure value play (given its still mid-season) then I think Wakeham is probably the best option.

Depends how long you think Moses will take to come back.

12 weeks of Pearce might be better than 8 weeks of Moses + 4 weeks of whoever you are trading

Hopefully you can do it without trading Haas mate. Understand you want Teddy, but trading a legit captain option basically almost never works out, and a FR for a WFB is high risk.

There was also talk of trading Haas by Mattnz the other day and these threads are moving so fast that the last thing I wanna read is trading Haas discussion. Each to their own though.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
