Fifita isn't banking a 10 year deal though, its a one year deal. The money is coming for him in 2022 if he stays at the Broncos, he knows that, and that's why its an extremely tough call.
Regulator wrote:
It's a 1 year deal if he signs with the Broncos.
He can get longer than 1 year with the Titans.
In that 1 year at the Broncos, he could get knocked out and never be able to play again, goodbye 2022 money.

They said in the article he will be in Cordners jumper, would seem weird to change numbers for no reason.
"Crichton will have a rare foray wearing Boyd Cordner's No.11 this week with the Roosters skipper having a spell after copping a heavy knock last Thursday."

If you could promise me the Foran that led Manly to consistent top 4 finishes and grand finals I'd take him at a million a year. Bloke was the best 5/8 in the comp and did all the other stuff you want from your club leader

It's a one year deal at both clubs. He doesn't want to sign a longer deal due to wanting out from his existing manager.
Regulator wrote:
He's anti signing longer deal because his family don't want the new manager he's got to get a cut because they don't think he's earned it.
That doesn't mean that option isn't still on the table, he's being presented with those offers, so that's still what he has to weigh up.

Definitely want Crichton this week. Have a number of guys I want to trade out this week, Moses, Kerr, Hess and trading out Moses leaves me short of a back up half.

Which goes to show he isn't really interested in "setting himself up for life" with this contract?

If the switch is on, up against cowboys right side defense could see him cross the line.

Which is why he has already signed the short term deal.
Oh wait, no he hasn't.

Money isn't the be all and end all of life, but it's pretty important. If you can secure yourself several million dollars, you know if you are smart you can take care of yourself and your family very well, for a very long time. And that is a very important part of life.
Regulator wrote:Fifita can guarantee him and his family a huge amount of money for a very long time if he banks one of these big long term contracts.
It's no guarantee he is going to make a lot of money, his career could be ripped away any week he plays. He could take this one year Broncos deal, snap his leg next week and that's the only money he ever gets out of footy ever again.
I bet Yow Yeh wished he had the opportunity to bank that much money straight away.
