I'm aware I'm "privileged", but I've only been without work for 3 months of my life. I wouldn't say I earn a lot, but to be honest, money has never been a worry in my life, and for pretty much the entirety of my 20s i lived pay check to pay chekck.
I don't have kids though...

I slept on The Wire for many years, but finally got into it the last couple of months. I've only got four eps left in season 5 now, bit worried about it being all over.
One of my favourites, some fantastic characters in those series

It looks like Niu has the position locked up right?
Trading Hess means my trades are locked in regardless so if I'm trading Crichton I'd like to at least know that my downgrade is going to start.

Similarly it looked like the Knights were paying overs for Ponga when they offered him good money to leave the Cowboys.
As it turns out it he was good value and helped them build a good roster.
People thought it was overs but it wasn't really, and that's not hindsight talking. Ponga was clearly talented enough to fetch a decent FB contract (3-600k) but they were also paying for his social media influence and the fact other players would come to the Knights. Once him and Pearce were signed, they managed to build a respectable roster. Wouldn't have been possible without those 2.
Fifita is a talented player, but I doubt multiple Klemmer, types are lining up to play at the Titans because of Fifita.

Ah, Stormtrooper is good people, I think he was just making light of the argument between Regulator and MTB earlier. He probably should have thought better of it, but I'll give him a pass.
Of course, i knew he wasn't serious and neither was I.

I'll be dumping Kerr to one of Hetherington/O'donnell/Fermor/Sirronen. Like the dpp of hetherington atm.Juggernauts wrote:With only 11 trades yet. Would it be worth buying O'Donnell over the Low BE's of Fermor and Field? Logic is that O'Donnell has the better job security long term. Since I most likely won't have the trades to cash out whoever I trade in, it might be worth banking the extra cash with O'Donnell. Whoever I trade in won't be in my 17 so short term scoring potential is irrelevant.

In all seriousness, I have a bit of FOMO in not getting Crichton. Its Thursday, I'm itchy for some footy, and he plays tonight. Recipe for success!
But if I get him, it kinda halts some other plans*, and really leaves me thin in the backs, so I'll just have to let him go for now.
*loose plans that I haven't really thought about at all. involves getting Tedesco, somehow..

A) Sensible Sally: Leilua & Rudolf out for JFH & Niu
Gives me plenty of FRF/2RF cover (i.e team balance) for when I want to upgrade Mann & Young &
leaves a few beans in the bank
B) Risky Rach : Mann and Leilua out Crichton and Field in
Have to play Rudolf or Field in 17 and also figure out how to get some decent FRF cover in the next
few weeks with minimal $ left
C) Variation Vera : Leilua and Talau out JFH and Niu in
Have a surplus of CTR cover so wouldn't hurt my team but seems early on Talau
D) Left Field Lisa : Go all out and do Mann and Mitchell out with Ted and Niu in
No HLF cover, Lose two 17 players for 1 but get Ted
E) Cop out Cindy : Leave it a week and go Wiliame to Niu
Leaning towards Sally at this point but any input would be welcome.
Sally is the way

Yeah I didn't think yours was that bad either, was just the timing from memory because there had been a few posts about people being happy for their fantasy team due to injuries. But you put your hand up straight away, you've always been a good poster, and water under the bridge.

Stuck on CTR2 and WFB3 with the late mail
Playing Niu and Crichton atm but need one of Niu/Crichton at centre and one of Crichton/Hammer/Farnworth at WFB
Think the floor from Niu/Crichton is better than Hammer/Farnworth

I think Niu + Crichton is the smart money call. Hard to know what Hammer will give tonight and Herbie outside Darius, could really put up a single figures score.

Was happy to go Herbie at centre because he puts in work defensively but won't help him much from the wing

Let's not forget Angus' average of 66 as a starter 2rf in 2017
Doubt he hits those heights again but he's definitely more capable than any other 2rf option
Averaging 65 at the moment which is being dragged down for his shit R2 score.

Herbie (wing vs Dogs) v HTF (FB v Roosters) v Scritta (ctr v Sharks) for my WFB3 spot?
OR
Lomax down to WFB3 and Niu to Ctr? - This feels a bit better.
