Milchy long rambling post on BEs and price change explains the magic number and everything else and is a good read for those that haven't read it, it's actually stickied:

    https://www.nrlfantasyfanatics.com/t128-fantasy-resources

That link also contains Phil Goulds Chins rundown from the year he won, also worth a read, also has Milchy's price predictor which I was recommending people to download a couple of weeks ago and couldn't remember where it was.

Speaking of Fifita - if he does come back next week - who is in a position to bring him in?

I could, but probably not both him and Luke Thompson (unless one of my guns gets injured and I have some cash to splash around) SO hopefully they don't both decide to make themselves trade ins next week

Part of the reason I want to hold Leilua at the moment is to turn him into Fifita (or maybe Tevaga), as they're a bit cheaper than Crichton/etc.

Siebold said today he won't be back against the Tigers, Storm game looking likely.

I can probably only get one of Fifita/Tevaga/Thompson without making a very sideways trade

Ah, Stormtrooper is good people, I think he was just making light of the argument between Regulator and MTB earlier. He probably should have thought better of it, but I'll give him a pass.

I slept on The Wire for many years, but finally got into it the last couple of months. I've only got four eps left in season 5 now, bit worried about it being all over.

Lucy makes a great step to Fifi, Tevaga, Thompson, Taupau this is a big reason why he is staying for me.

Hope Young/Butcher can be an upgrade to one of those other blokes later on.

Help : Need some opinions this week as have too many choices & I'm paralysed (no catastrophic injuries or bad cows to fix)

    A) Sensible Sally: Leilua & Rudolf out for JFH & Niu
Gives me plenty of FRF/2RF cover (i.e team balance) for when I want to upgrade Mann & Young &
leaves a few beans in the bank

    B) Risky Rach : Mann and Leilua out Crichton and Field in
Have to play Rudolf or Field in 17 and also figure out how to get some decent FRF cover in the next
few weeks with minimal $ left

    C) Variation Vera : Leilua and Talau out JFH and Niu in
Have a surplus of CTR cover so wouldn't hurt my team but seems early on Talau

    D) Left Field Lisa : Go all out and do Mann and Mitchell out with Ted and Niu in
No HLF cover, Lose two 17 players for 1 but get Ted

    E) Cop out Cindy : Leave it a week and go Wiliame to Niu

Leaning towards Sally at this point but any input would be welcome.

Maybe he got clearance but they don't see him being match fit yet? Not sure. I reckon 20 mins off the bench from Fifita is still better than any of our other options right now. And would really bring his price down haha

The old man is 100% right. Can't recall any youngster getting a big contract ending well. They even have one at the club already lol then players like Suli

There was NRL Physio post earlier saying Fifita cleared by specialist to return next week

Probably should trust Siebold's quote but who even knows with Broncos anymore

20 minutes off the bench Fifita could get 5 TB's 1 LB and a Try

Or maybe the wack was just coincidental? Different tactic to me, if so.

Its bloody Robinson. Expecting the same thing week to week from him is a risk.

That said, I still think Crichton is a good buy. Won't be buying him myself.
This is the good argument for not getting Crichton.

What interests me is that they were obviously happy with Crichton middle, as it continued when Butcher was off the field, so can't have been just his injury influencing Crichton's role.

Yeah this is where I'm at.

I either turn Leilua into Crichton this week, or I hold and wait for Tevaga or Fifita. Either way, if Luke Thompson declares himself a gun this week, I'll be happy to turn Young into him straight away, even though it's a bit of a waste, because it completes my forwards and bench and gives me FRF cover.

In all seriousness, I have a bit of FOMO in not getting Crichton. Its Thursday, I'm itchy for some footy, and he plays tonight. Recipe for success!

But if I get him, it kinda halts some other plans*, and really leaves me thin in the backs, so I'll just have to let him go for now.

*loose plans that I haven't really thought about at all. involves getting Tedesco, somehow..
