Yeah talk about hideous! Although to be fair, as long as they win I wouldn't care if they wore pink with purple polka dots

    I approve of these trades

I got Niu last week, and Mann to DCE this week

As long as players like Joel Thompson (who is normally great and does a lot of good work in the community) can still use a homophobic slur and the dozen or so players in earshot of him don't call him out for it and he claims he said "faker", I don't see any openly gay player in the NRL anytime soon.

I think NRL needs a moment like how David Pocock called it out during a game to a referee to be a catalyst for change. That was five years ago.

I disagree the NRL needs a 'David Pocock'

Most would agree leaving the footy field out of these things, after all it is the great equalizer on the paddock
Footy is pure escapism, everyone is equal on the field regardless of background. Hard work is rewarded, natural ability and genetics only gets you so far
Small town country, housing estate city, borderline third world countries it doesn't matter. If the pathway is there and you put the work in anyone can make it

So lets keep everything else like politics/race/social justice flavor of the week off the rugby league field, save that for the social pages or community awareness weeks if that's where players want to raise issues

Ask Welshy about one of his great rugby players Gareth Thomas, tough as nails but you didn't see him going on about where he liked to stick it
Why should someone be treated different because of what they do after hours, he is just another player on the footy field after all

Really who cares, just like in the real world its your actions on the field/and in life that you are judged for. Not the other things.

Yeah no worries mate. I'm 17 and primarily play centre but can also fill in the backrow. I go to Patties blacktown and that's how I got scouted into the Roosters through school footy. It's notorious for being a footy school with oldboys playing in the NRL such as Critta, Luai, Curran, Lodge and plenty more.

So when you make it into the big time, you still gonna hang around here on the forum? Also, during games you gonna be like "Ok make this tackle, +1 point for myself"

Will need to keep a close eye on news about Bradman Best over the weekend...................

    LATE MAIL

Newcastle: The Knights come out of the Manly game with a number of players picking up minor injuries. Mitchell Pearce suffered a left knee injury but trained with the squad during the week and will play. Kalyn Ponga has had a light week at training due to concussion but is also expected to play. Aidan Guerra (wrist) and Herman Ese’ese (knee) are both in some doubt and will need to be checked at the captain’s run. Of more concern for KFC SuperCoaches is the news that Bradman Best copped a knock at training and limped off and could be in some doubt while Connor Watson has been named on extended bench. Mitchell Barnett is expected to return next weekend against Rabbitohs after recovering from a back injury.

Yeah that was priceless Roberts beating Jack to a pulp. From memory Gordy Tallis lost his shit with Ben Ross once.

The NSWRL Harold Matthews Cup is a junior rugby league competition played in New South Wales between teams made up of players aged under 16. - Wikipedia

Yeah mate it is but due to the season suspended cause of Corona for around 3 months now some of us have already turned 17 when the season was supposed to be finished.

For all those asking about @NRLKnights centre Bradman Best and if he is playing on Sunday, the answer is yes. Went over slightly on his good ankle at training yesterday but not in any doubt.
