Tommy Talau ruled out for the Tigers this weekend after suffering a minor hamstring strain at training. Returned to play in 2 weeks after suffering a hamstring strain last month, no word if a reinjury. Minor hamstring strains usually result in a 2-4 week return to play

I just don't want to say goodbye to Super Mann yet since he's been one of my best picks from day 1 but I am just so mega screwed in the backs if I trade out Best. I'd have nobody to cover WFB and I'd have no CTR coverage as long as McIntyre and Talau are out.

Can you keep both & wait a week on your target? Mann will probably get near his BE and Best is good for some points and is a good chance of getting close enough to his BE for it not to matter

Well his BE is 13 so probably won't gain or lose cash if he's on the bench. Slightly annoying since I won't be able to use him to loop between Fogarty and Field
Who would you recommend out of Fermor and Coates?

Look out for the late mail. If Fermor starts in the 2nd row, his attacking potential is probably high as he'll be up against a team like the Warriors.

Lomax is expected to overcome a knee complaint after being twisted awkwardly in a tackle late in the loss.

That's the only thing I can find.

Coates' 2 big scores have come from 100m intercept tries. Without he scores pretty poorly (8 without try, 20 with try)

Would go Fermor (especially if he moves to 2RF in final team lists)

99% sure one of Teddy's TBs was credited when McGuire made a legs tackle on him with Drinky over the top and then let go of him to get back to the defensive line while Drinky worked the tackle, just call that the LB (it's only 1 point less) and get over it.

I think we established yesterday that King Teddy was a very, very young man (made me feel bad about past sarcasm offences) so he's not old and cynical enough yet to get a fair % of the jokes on here.

    I had a laugh.....

    I guess I will go Talau > Fermor + 92K

Didn't watch the game last week but his stats look pretty good. 37 Tackles, 4 TB's, 6 MT Beer , 130 MG and 2 LB. With stats like that you would think he takes Hipgraves spot. Wouldn't be surprised to see Peachey go to CTR and Fermor takes Stones/Hipgraves spot.

    I'll take the gamble.

15 trades at the start of this week is punt territory, I have to be careful with 11 and probably already using 1.

Not fun owning Paix, HTF who have stalled for bugger all

    Thanks
Why would he be named in the centres if he might start in the 2nd row?
And would it still be worth getting him if he plays at centre?

Can Jai Field average 35 for 4 weeks? Makes 150K

or take the gamble on Fermor getting a perma role and making more money

    Good point!
I don't have any WFB or CTR coverage atm so having Coates could give me a bit of depth in case I get an injury/suspension
What do you think of Fermor's job security?

WAGs team has 15 trades to burn and ranked inside the top 1000, so going okay.  Copping Friend last night fucking hurt though.

    Friend
    Haas Carrigan
    Tolo RFM Young
    Cleary Luai
    Crichton Mitchell
    Pappy Teddy Ponga

    Grant Koro Mann Fog

    Rudolf Clark Hammer Avo

156K.  How do I make up for Friend.  Thinking Mann to JFH or JTurbo.  Or depending on Titans team lists, trade Clark down to Niu and keep the coin to turn Mann into Angus next week? Or trade Mann to Field and bank a shit load and keep making coin.

    G day,

Long time reader first time poster.

Having a good year up into 84th. squad as follows

    Mcinnes
    Haas Carrigan
    Matto Tapine Angus
    DCE
    Cleary
    Lomax Niu
    Teddy Katoa Pap

Robson, Api, Grant, Talau (Fermour, Crichton, HTF, Paix)

Down to 9 trades now, but just the one on the horizon next week - katoa/lomax to tapau/thompson if talau is fit so carrigan can get on the bench for flexibility.

I have not looped before but wondering whether i can take a free look at Fermour tonight with the above set up and sub in Crichton if he is a dud?

    thanks in advance Very Happy

    Bang on setup.

If Fermor goes well leave it like it is. If he bombs switch Talau and Crichton before Tigers kick off, will need to be quick though

    Welcome
I would not be trading Lomax out.. He is a season keeper mate. You have HTF who is a dud/stalled cow, Paix who is a red dot and Talau who just redid his hammy which is scary.
Tapine isn't a keeper and neither is Katoa. I would focus on getting rid of HTF, Paix, Talau, Katoa, Tapine probably in that order. You need some cover in the FRF so Tapau/Thompson is a good shout. Next week can possibly go Paix/Talau to a cow which might allow you to afford Katoa to one of Talau/Thompson and then chuck Crichton into Fullback for now.
Then chuck Marty/Thompson into FRF and carrigan onto bench for cover.
Seems you have burned through your trades and need cover desperately so Tapine may need to stick around for the long hall. I would focus on getting one of Ponga or if you cant afford RTS/Edwards/Gutho in the next few weeks. This may be able to happen through HTF/Crichton? Cash out HTF in a couple weeks and Upgrade Crichton if funds support it... Would leave you with 5 trades I believe and this team:

    CM9
    Haas Marty/Thompson
    Tapine Matto Angus
    DCE Cleary
    Lomax Niu
    Teddy Pappy Gutho/RTS/Edwards

    Api Grant Robson Carrigan
    Fermor Cow Cow Talau/Paix/HTF/Crichton

    and 5 trades.

Gives you cover everywhere...but half but the 5 trades will help in case of injury.
