Dean Pay is set to quit the club

Dean Pay has quit as Bulldogs coach with the team stranded in bottom place on the NRL ladder, according to reports.

Pay’s fate was set to be decided at a phone hook-up today and it looks as though last weekend’s loss to the Broncos was his last in charge.

Channel Nine claim that Pay, who has won just one game this season, has walked rather than be pushed.

It is expected that the club will make an official announcement on Tuesday.

I don't get on the weekend why he was sitting and Ivan had to stand b behind him the whole game lol.

Poor Trent. He’s a lovely fella and was a terrific instinct-based running 5/8 with a good kicking game, but not blessed with non-football intelligence the lad

Probably good for selection, but probably not for performance. I'd bet they get belted by the Dragons.

Decent enough. Rapana can usually eke out a 30 on run metres and busts as an 80 minute winger.

Leaning towards Pangai just for the thrills

Thoughts on buying Hetherington? I need to sell Averillo to raise money for Croft -> Hunt (3k short of doing it in one trade, which sucks), and since I'm quite short of forward depth but have plenty of backs, my thinking is to get Hetherington for that dual position cover and the fact that if the Panthers call him back, it's because they need him to play.

I wouldn't be playing him in my 17 unless I literally have nobody else but as a cashout, he doesn't seem half bad and seems good for at least something.

Croft isn't really that urgent a trade out, I would only sell him if (like me) you're going for Bunt, as he is too good to pass up at that price.

If Twal is back, next to Aloiai and Eisenhuth, Mikaele's role and minutes diminishes quite a bit.
