To work out their priced average its basically their current price divided by the magic number. This season magic number is around 13500 average which is significantly lower than previous seasons. This number also changes every round which is why sometimes price changes can look funny from round to round. MTB (footystats website) and Milch calculate BE's using a magic number but the round will generally never end up being exactly that number so player prices changes will also be slightly different to predicted. Another point to consider is that if a player scorers bang on their average every week they will never quite reach their predicted price but will get close; usually a player needs a big game or two close to reaching their peak to fully maximise their price.
