I have been wanting these lads to come into first grade. Their totally different to coaching and ingame tactics are really interesting and great to watch. Will be interesting games to watch if nothing else.

I cant imagine they will be that ground breaking, they will tame it right down. Won't work in the Nrl on the whole.

Counter point. Warriors need 5+ years of recruiting to have a squad that could match Roosters or Storm in straight up defensive football. They need to do something different or they will continue to be a bottom 8 side.

Pretty mediocre squad for a while, can’t see how throwing the ball around and increasing chance of losing the ball early helps an already average team? Yea it can be done when chasing games but how often does that actually come off? Dumb move if true

I do believe there is room for new ideas in the NRL. Not sure that keeping the ball alive at all costs is it. Worked 5 years ago in q cup but the jets havent performed terribly well since. Id be amazed if the way they play worked against NRL defenses.

Anyway, im not a warriors fan so it doesnt bother me. To be honest it would be interesting to see how it goes. But yeah, be surprised if they work out*

    *if its even true

Won’t they need to completely re do squad to get something they need to play their way?? How long does that take. Don’t like it but that’s just me

I'm very pissed off at this game despite the nice win, Papy getting pulled off makes zero sense, and Fotu is surely owed at least 3 TBs. Knowing Failhub, he won't get them though.

The massive reason is actually that pro sports coaches are inherently conservative. There's some interesting studies on NFL coaches that shows that they will consistently take an option that is seen as orthodox (and 'appears' tactically sound) despite the fact that it is shown to be statistically less productive than the alternative.

I personally don't mind it to be honest. Structured footy hasn't worked for them for many years now.

Yeah if as reported it is a one year job, what have they got to loose. They have been treading water for so long now, whats another a year to sacrifice yet another bottom 4 finish. On the flip side they could potentially unearth a different tactical way to coach this naturally well gifted team. If as reported it is only one year, I see more upside in this deal than downside.

They have a policy at the Jets, if you leave to play in other teams, where they get paid, they can't come back to Jets.

I own MoFo but only saw one tackle bust. Just an outlier down game for him.
