What are people’s thoughts on Asi?

What’s his JS like and how do you think he will score?

Probably going to go Angus + Field to Tevaga and Sironen (or another cow), leaving me plenty of cash to upgrade Rudolf which will hopefully finalise my preferred 17.

Im just gonna have to cop the scores from Butcher and Mata'utia and hope 1 of them gets a start next week.

gonna have Api,Fermor and Niu all in the NPR

have 5 trades left which isnt ideal but it is what it is, i have 264k itb and will hope for a kind TLT next week.

I'm with you mate. Forced to make 2 trades to get a playing 17 and will only have 5 left. Been a rough year but it is what it is, just a game after all - had a handful of players who were only in the team for a week or two before getting injured.

Will use up all my trades then just watch the games as a spectator and watch everyone still bicker about what trades they're making Laughing

Beauty of it is that there's always next year

I'm definitely considering the merits of selling Friend for Jazzy.

That's a real question now isn't it? With single digit trade counts the norm you have to think about every out and every in within the scope of both 'are they playing' and 'do they give me cover if TLT goes pear shaped'.

E.g. Thinking about Starling at the moment but don't need HKR cover so despite the $ that could be on offer, it might be better to lose a few $ on Young this week & and then swap to someone who covers an area I am weak in. Price rises, and to a certain extent points, are no good to you if you have no trades left or a hole in your 13 you can't fill with a late out

He's averaging over 50 if you exclude his 24 minute injury game.

He's not an ideal final 17 player, but I don't think its worth spending a trade on moving him on.

Personally, I have Crichton, Koro, Robson (and probably RFM) who would all go before Friend does

His job security as starting 5/8th isn't awesome with Morgan and Drinkwater both injured and potential to oust him when they return.

He might keep a spot in the starting team by playing centre/wing. But Cowboys just got a new coach yesterday so its all even more guesswork than usual with this sort of thing

Curious - would you have Koro in that list if he wasn't out this round?

fucking hell, every time I've cleared the docks for Teddy my team falls apart and I have to put him on the backburner, 5 red dots and a necessary CTR or WFB trade is in order, but Tevaga is can't miss at his price point and none of my red dots are priced enough to get them both, probably cash out on Fermor for this Valamai lad and hope he jags a try or two, and then Teddy can be next (hopefully)

I've come through TLT relatively unscathed with only Koro, Niu and Fermor 3 dots.

Still going ahead with my planned trades of Fogarty>Ponga and Young>Asi

This week the bench is rather thin with Havili 15, Asi 16 and Farnworth/Hammer 17 but I'll make do. No cover in FRF or HLF if there is a late withdrawal

What this does remind us is that your "ideal 17" won't be running out most weeks as coaches rest players with no byes.

I'll hold Fermor in the short term. Hoping he grabs a bench spot to eek out a bit more cash over the next few weeks. Surprised he didn't even make the 21 after being starting second row, but it is what it is

If anyone can manage to find the cash for Bateman he will be an incredible POD in the run home. If his head is in it, bloke scores in so many ways that he can put up 100 against anybody

For some reason I thought I saw former clutching at a wrist or something at one stage.

Bench make up will be super important this week in case of any late withdrawals

As an example I just double checked my team and with Havili locked into the 17 I can move Carrigan back to bench and give myself FRF cover

Yep, got Carrigan back to the bench. Any late HOK/FRF/2RF/WFB withdrawl would see Herbie get a run, better than a zero. Any late HLF or CNT withdrawl sees me play one short for the fourth time this year.

Shit I forgot to look at S Mat in the team lists initially, bench again is no good. At 500k can't keep him if that is going to be the norm and not sure I can afford to hold him just in case he goes back to starting. Bench may be an ongoing plan to manage his minutes given the head injuries
