nice guess! I'll keep that in the back pocket should I ever get this excessively salty over nicknames again, but not right this time.

Anyone remember his previous bench stint? 2 points in 18 minutes suggests an edge stint

i didn't know what it meant for years aha. didn't occur to me to have a sook about it though
One of the older Sportal guys would be able to confirm but I think its because one of the older Broncos fans claimed he'd take over Cam Smith's spot as both starting hooker and captain of Australia in a few years.
Was it McFlogchops?

Willie, Dragon Ball, left
figured Willie would be one of the easier ones for a bunch of rugby league heads, the other might be more a problem with the player being obscure from a fantasy relevance point-of-view more-so than the nicknames being obscure

Is in the English version. Google reckons the boxer is called M.Bison in the Japanese version and the spanish mask/knives dude is Bison, but Vega in the US/English version.
Had no idea they made it so confusing.
I recently watched the 90s live action movie. Its terrible but hilarious. Worth a watch haha.

off-topic video game trivia: they swapped names around because in Japan, M.Bison was the name of the boxer, based on Mike Tyson, Capcom didn't wanna get sued by Tyson for likeness when it was released in the west, so the boss called Vega became M.Bison, Balrog was renamed to Vega, and M.Bison renamed to Balrog.

one left! though it seems like the push-back is starting and i don't think the last one will be solved without heavy hints so:
Dragon Ball = Dragon Ball Kai = Kai O'Donnell
might've come off a little more heated than intended this morning, but it's just my opinion that a) not everyone needs a nickname and b) nicknames are supposed to make things easier, not more difficult, a public discussion in a public discussion thread flows easier when it's easy to understand for everyone and logic puzzles aren't needed just to figure out who is being talked about.
