Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 3
I think I'll go Lawrence over Lafai in my centres. My concern with Lafai is if Dugan plays centre which is probably 100% then they'll be hitting Dugan's edge in attack most times so I can't see Lafai getting many chances on attack. With the Tigers pack losing Edwards then I see Lawrence now playing 80 although he probably was going to anyway. I also think Sue will play lock & he'd be in my team but I don't want 2 Tigers forwards so I've gone Lawrence over Sue.

Sue averages 50 min a game already and i dont think he'll get anymore then that so i would really only consider him if he gets a starting gig at lock. If he plays prop hes probably a miss.

What do you guys think about Mansour? Is he likely to get back to his 2014 form?

I'm not entirely convinced about Mansour. Over the last couple of years he has fallen into the injury prone category imo & his form has suffered as a result. No one can doubt his beast status & if he gets through the trials & starts the season injury free he's probably a yes. Hopefully he'll be back to beast status with plenty of tackle busts & tries. Just on the Panthers someone posted on weapons that Merrin has apparently trimmed down a lot which could be an indication that he's conditioning himself to play big minutes this year. Can anyone confirm this.

Also - seen a few people mention Hurrell. Is he in favour? Off the KFC? What is the Warriors backline likely to look like anyway?

According to pre season reports & photos Hurrell is in the best shape of his career, definitely worth a gamble if he is named in round 1.
I would say Kata/Vatuvei will be on the left side. As for the right side there is quite a bit of competition with Hurrell, Ayshford, Fusitua, Laumape, Wright & Lolohea all fighting for 2 spots. Could be combination of any of them.

Picking players because of how fit they look during pre-season is not a great strategy IMO

Well if Ben Henry gets any sort of useful role he's a great squad filler for your NPRs. I'm personally doubtful of this happening though.
But otherwise not sure I am considering any Warriors to start the year

Seen from their official Twitter that it will be open this week. They didn't narrow it down any further than that

Thanks for re posting the good word PGC. Deserves a thread of it's own.
Will you start the new season with Parker, Gallen & Fifi again??

Surely with Griffin as coach Merrin plays at prop. Did the same thing with Parker

Merrin at prop is tempting. Huge workrate and ability and the panthers don't have a great front row rotation.
Did Parker's minutes drop?

Laumape's playing union these days. I'd love the Warriors to line up Vatuvei, Lolo, Hurrell, Kata. Don't see it happening though. I have a feeling Hurrell's going to have to bide his time.

From memory Parker still played 70+ mlns. Might have to ask the resident moocow as Im sure he will have the stats to back it up.Beast From The Big East wrote:
