The border was closed when the comp restarted, wasn’t it? I’m sure NRL will get through.

    Cleary Johnson
    Crichton Talau
    Tedesco Ponga Papenhuyzen

    Grant (HOK)
    Tevaga (HOK/2RF)
    Hunt (HOK/HLF)
    Carrigan (FRF/2RF)

    Randall (HOK)18th Man
    Averillo (CTR)
    HTF (WFB)
    Niu (WFB/CTR) Red dot

    nice team Booze

Do you think you might regret trading Matterson out though? Assuming he stays fit for the rest of the comp, any upgrade would be marginal at best. If you are worried about future concussions/injury then I can see why you'd be tempted.
But if he's fit for the rest of the year surely you'd back him to maintain his current 65 average

Send all teams to NZ. If it stays in Australia, it is likely to get shut down eventually.

AFL is still going, with 10/18 teams from a state hitting 500 new cases a day.

NSW is holding steady at 15-20, very manageable with blitz testing and contact tracing. NRL will find a way if AFL has

Easier solution would be if QLD takes the hard line (they totally won’t), then the 3 QLD teams plus Storm will relocate to NSW.

All of the Vic teams moved to QLD a couple of weeks ago (like the Storm).

Doesnt really matter where they play tbh, as long as the whole comp is in a "bubble" of sorts, then the comp will continue. The issue though is that a bubble still needs staff (eg staying in a hotel, food, etc).

They'll just keep moving further north if need to imo.

Yeah they moved north at a time when the spread in Vic was worse than NSW now, actual games had to be rescheduled... just making the point that NRL is nowhere near being in danger of shutting down again. Or moving to NZ (as nice as that would be as a leveller for the Warriors)

I've been advocating for immediate relegation of all QLD teams to Q CUP for months now.

I thought Havili would play close to 60 mins and avg around 45. So far he's played 48 and 36 mins for 45 and 34, but we kinda knew he doesn't have the motor to play massive mins.

Randall played 77/90 mins, so I'm hoping for a 60+ min role. Maybe like 57 at the low end.

He made 71 tackles with 2 missed and no errors or penalties, so good signs he mightn't get hooked early for playing ass. Against Storm he'll probably have a bit of defending to do.

Crossland on the bench as a HLF, so kinda expecting him to spell Randall and Mann to HK probably, but a chance he's just there as a utility body..

FOMO if he's the next big thing Laughing HK playing 60+ with Macca, Watson, Brailey all gone for the season.. might seem like it was a no-brainer in 3-4 weeks.

Yeah thanks for that. The FOMO is real. I would really prefer to wait. But with his BE, it's this week or not at all. And I 'm concerned for a cheap 18th man with good job security, a better one won't come along.

Players I've had from the start:

    Haas, Carrigan, Pappy, Wiliame.

Trading Moses back in this week, so doesn't really count.

Looking at schedule of loop for CTRs that I use Niu for and I would only be able to loop Talau/Averillo 3 times for rest of season as Niu usually locks out before them on Friday. Might depend on what you use Niu for

Yeah mate I've still got Wiliame who is better for looping and who I would rather keep anyway, in case he gets another run. Niu out for the season is a trade, just not sure if I "need" to. What do you think about the trade on it's own merits? Would you hesitate if you had two more trades than you do?

    I probably wouldn't hesitate but I'm a bit of a tradeaholic

Based on you saying you're getting Moses, your 17 would be complete to best of what cash most of us can deal in, so 5 trades left for injuries is pretty good

Since found out from MS and Robelgordo about better technique of looping so I'll probably keep Niu myself now as only red dot for now

Yeah that's the balancing act just worried about his concussion/future. He doesn't even remember what happened in the game apparently
Hopefully we get some more info in the next day, if in doubt might just pull the trigger on McCullough to Randall and sit tight a week

Would you consider Bateman as a trade in over Cook or McInnes instead?

Tempted to move Paix/Niu for Thompson/Randall

    Gives me a bench of

    Carrigan, Robson, Norman, Thompson
    Butcher, Sironen, Randall, HTF

Oodles of cover but probably over the top and 6 trades left

With Robson and Matterson uncertainty, I probably need to hold fire on trades and see how that plays out before worrying about an 18th man whose role is still uncertain and whose position doesn't really improve my bench depth. And as MS said, just hope that another option pops up in the next few weeks.

My general thought without knowing team circumstances is that if you have 2 long term red dots (Niu and Wiliame for example) you need to move one of them on. 21 players isn't enough to carry 2 dead spots this far out from the finish line.

If you only have 1 and the rest of your squad looks fine I'm pretty okay with holding for shenanigans
