So these two guys have families all set up in New Zeland etc ? That's ridiculous if not allowed back.

I dont think katoa does, there was footage of his family back in tonga crowded round a tv to watch him play.

It seems like it is probably a paperwork thing that will be sorted by the time they need to go back anyway?

Surely not all warriors players become nz citizens for a football contract. Eg blake green?

Didn’t they name Dunn in the halves before and he didn’t even play. Who knows what they’ll do honestly, could even be Asiata. Hampton in the halves would make more sense

To be honest I don't care who they put in the halves, as long as it doesn't mean Granville comes onto the bench its sweet for me as a Robson owner

Not even thinking fantasy wise for Robson, but why would they just randomly play Granville out of the blue after not playing since R4.

Though is worth considering that that may not be final team list as said

Not citizens but residency isn't hard to get. But looks like they were only over with work visas

That's disgraceful by the Warriors management. If they had to seek exemptions to get them in, how did it not occur to ensure the reverse was in place.

The kid has come through the high school union system. He's been living in NZ for a few years already so I'd be surprised if he doesn't have residency and it would be pretty tough not to let him back in.

The game faced a nervous few hours after Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced she was banning anyone from Greater Sydney to enter the sunshine state, effective immediately. But the NRL had existing exemptions in place and will be allowed to continue playing in Queensland.
