Why can't you wait a week on Randall? He will still be in the 300's next week and will be freeing up cash either way by getting him in for Young. May aswell wait a week since Young is named at lock and should make money and can get a better grip of what newcastles rotation around Randall will look like.

If he scores a 50+, he will jump close to $100k. Thats $100k that you could have used elsewhere.

But then you'd just have another very expensive red dot in 6 weeks time once Koro returns.  Just with so little trades, getting a player that's not going to hold a position til the end of of the season is kamikaze like.

Exactly like Rabbit said, was only a matter of time til he broke down.

I'll be quiet though. You know what you are doing mate

Need to take some risks along the way if you want to win. If Koro had returned a few weeks late instead of a few weeks early from his injury it would have worked perfectly. Needed to bring someone in that allowed me to retain Crichton. When you have new injuries every week, it doesnt really matter what you do, this season has been a shit show.

Can't wait a week for Randall. Now or don't bother.

Can still wait a week to see role but I take your point with his predicted increase.

On that thinking Starling may actually be the better buy I'm thinking. More upside with the potential for more minutes and strong JS. Understand Knights are down on Hookers, but more swapsies options. Starling can't be benched, Randall can.

I made this same blunder, couldn’t hold both and with info of similar timeframes, I decided to trade Koro. Now he is looking to be back soon with Angus out longer, probably eased back onto the bench and has SBW joining the pack. Don’t have the trades to not keep him after all this either. What a disaster!

If I bring Randall in though it’s not as a cow he’d be staying in my emergencies from here on, I’m not worried about his BE re this week or next week.

I could go Young to Randall but I wanna see how Young goes and what his role will be. I have sold some players to early this season so don’t wanna go off to early re Young.

Is Young the only option to get him in?

I'm actually thinking he'll still see decent minutes. CHN hasn't played for a while so he may be there and just brought on for a very short stint just to get him back into the groove. I think Young still see's 50 minutes.

You might not be planning on selling him for profit, but it makes a big difference buying him this week at $293k or next week at $350 (or whatever he ends up as)

Crikey you have some depth considering still 8 trades left.  You don't need to trade, and to me that is the POD strategy verses most of us still trying to bring in 1 more Cow.
Thanks mate I think you’re right. My depth certainly looks a bit better now compared to a couple of weeks ago. Bringing in Hunt and Aubbo last week has been good for me.

I did trade really heavy there mate til about a month ago and since I’ve really cut back on trades plus avoided most of the carnage of the last month and I’ve actually gone up rankings wise just inside top 350 now.

My team has been getting the job done even without top top guns like Cook, McInnes and Taumalolo as examples. I guess I’ve found some really good value options instead.

These last 6-7 rounds soon upcoming will be carnage so every trade will matter.

Those that have wasted a few trades they shouldn’t have are really gonna regret it and see their ranking plummet.

Alright so my trades are looking like

    Luai to Randall
    Young to Moses

And my team looks like this(coverage for every position except CTR cos fuck that)

    4 trades 120k bank

    Cook
    Haas Taupau
    Yeo Matterson Sironen
    Hunt Cleary
    Talau Averillo
    Lomax Teddy Ponga

    CS9
    Grant
    Carrigan
    Moses

    Randall
    HTF
    Clune
    Niu

Not the strongest team kicking around but hopefully I can push on and have a respectable finish. How far I have fallen from the highs of last year haha

Young may still play some mins on an edge like we don’t know if he plays 35mins or 55mins. I’d rather wait and see first.

Young has a BE of 28 so still money to make potentially. Another Raiders forward may go down this week to which could benefit Young.

Guys like Rudolf and Luai are 2 examples off the top of my head that I sold to early this year.

    Exactly my thinking mate.

Would hate to trade this week, something go wrong and regret it next week.

I could go Niu to Randall but I wanna use Niu as my centre loop especially this weekend to loop with Latrell and Crichton. I will take Aubbo’s score he’s my number 1 centre.

I’m torn on Haas or Teddy with the C but Teddy back at the SCG in the daytime Saturday arvo 3pm has me leaning towards him once again. Teddy tends to kill it in daytime matches at the SCG.

Then again Haas could play 80mins again, hhhhmmmmm

Not exactly a blunder, there was pretty solid info that Koro would be at least 3 weeks - their own physio said 2 weeks before conditioning starts! Him being a chance to be back after one is taking the piss. Is the physio adhering to his hippopotamus oath? There’s gotta be an investigation!
