I guess I’m asking myself do I want:

    Cleary + Butcher/Sironen (1 trade)
    Moses/Munster + Taumalolo (2 trade)

I don't know about Moses guys. Sure his price is good, but I don't think he's the fantasy gun he was pre injury. When he was gone, Brown, Gutho, and Mahoney really stood up and produced excellent attack. Watching their last two games I've noticed a distinct variety in their attack, meaning while Moses the player is still a gun, I don't think he's going to have the base that other halves such as DCE, Cleary, Munster (esp. w/ Smith out) etc have.

He has the KM to continue scoring fine enough, and is for sure a keeper if you have him, but I'm concerned his attacking stats are going to be reduced (not to mention he's not really running the ball at all).

Of course this might be due to him easing back in after his injury, but I'd be wary of putting my eggs in the Moses basket.

I think the later 2 easily outscore the first 2, would depend how many trades you have left. Keep in mind that at the start of the year Cleary and Moses were considered to be on the same tier. Cleary has posted some big scores with tries, but (probably) his 3 highest scores of the year are already gone, so paying 950k for what will likely be a 55-60 average the rest of the way doesn't seem like the greatest idea

Meanwhile Moses is still dominating his teams general play kicking and has only had the one big try scoring play so far in round 2 where he scored 89.

Eels will blow some teams off the park in the run home when they are clicking and Moses is just as capable of those monster scores with a similar base

*Disclaimer I own Cleary and don't own Moses

Haha that second option leaves me 5 trades for the run in and Sironen/Randall as 18/19.

Yeah I’m wary of overspending on Cleary to be honest and much prefer to save that 300k to spend on Butcher.

Sironen/Randall as perfectly fine as 18th/19th man for the run home, and 5 trades for 7 rounds isn't the end of the world

I think I've just talked myself into Moses + 210k rather than Bateman. Will see how it pans out after lock out

Oh I’m not concerned at all, just helps to spell it out. Hopefully the funds work out for my last two guns and will hold for the carnage that inevitably comes

Well done everyone cracking big scores, and bad luck to those just short of 1000.

My first ever 1100 this week, and into the top 30. Time to start regretting all the 50-50 calls I went the wrong way on.

That's a great team you have mate & a great rank.

Also trying to resist Cleary - when you put it like that the Moses/Munster option is clearly better.

100% wish I'd gone with Thompson over Taupau last week.

I'm not at all concerned about this week's standalone scores (Thomspon outscored him by 6 points) but my main concern was paying the extra money for Taupau when I think Thompson will probably score about the same as him for the rest of the year... and he was considerably cheaper. Would love to have that extra cash in my bank now, but oh well. Can't get them all right.

On a related note, I was looking at my team this morning and thought that if I get a few red dots, not only would I want to use them for looping options in my centres, but I'd prefer to play Carrigan in my starting FRF and perhaps play around with Taupau as 17/18th man. He just seems trapped in those mid-40's scores for the most part, which is okay but not really what I'm after.

If I sell C. Smith I'll probably buy DCE as Manly are playing the Warriors this week. For the players I don't own I also considered Cook, McInnes, Bateman & T. Harris but .

Who to trade out of Pearce, Luai, Fogarty ? They’re all scoring well but they’re not elite, tricky situation, kind of annoying

    Love your work MTB

Randall being in 71% of the top 1000 is surprising. Wonder how many would have brought him in if his break even was 60 instead of -20? How much cash he makes is really pretty irrelevant with most not having the trades to get him back out

Additionally, it will be pretty interesting to see how many teams have actually dudded themselves for positional coverage from hlf to wfb in their 18-21, with Starling/Siro/Randall all being popular trade ins.

I would be hesitant to pay above 900k for anyone other than Cook, Haas, McInnes. The others don't have the sustained base to be up there long term and rely on attacking stats, which I've found are pretty inconsistent

Buying Cleary now achieves 3 things A) you miss the points he has already scored, B) you spend the extra cash that he has already made, C) you lock in the same number of points as his owners for the rest of the year.

Sometimes there are no alternatives and you want to achieve C), but in a year where no one will end up with an ideal 17 there are plenty of alternatives at better price points

I bought Randall but the only cover im missing is CTR so thought better off to grab a half decent piece of cover if needed
