Lodge trained strongly on Wednesday in his bid to return from a pre-season partial ACL tear that he re-injured at training after the round seven loss to the Titans.

Brisbane coach Anthony Seibold is confident he will join back-rower David Fifita in the side. A final decision will be made on Thursday.

This news of Flanno being dropped instead of rested makes me really want to sell him to Munster this week, any reason why I shouldn't? I doubt he'll be back next week

Seriously thinking about moving the big C off Haas this week for first time since I've owned him (R3). So could happen!

I think he will work on the areas that coach is looking for and come back a better, rested player in a couple of weeks

Have been out of the loop last 3 days. Think the main news relevant to my team is Pearce likely to drop back a bit in scoring potential, Pap getting a rest, and Grant is out (haven’t seen how long for?). Any other relevant news for these guys?

    Team:

Looking at bringing in Moses and Jazz for HTF and Young. Seems pretty solid?

    Keep pushing mate.

We are aiming, but now sit about 5th and 6th. Going to take some cheeky Fitler style sidesteps to reign em in i think.

That might be so but until he does come back, I'm short a gun and will not be able to gain ranks. Getting Munster in not only raises me 40k of spare cash but it also means I don't actually have to sell anyone else to have 17 players, so I can still just use one trade this week.

Having a look at MTB's top 1000 ownership chart, almost nobody has Munster and I can see a huge POD opportunity. Also, he has GK with CS9 out which gives him a better floor.

I’m set on only doing one trade this week

I will be watching this poll with interest. I'm considering the same trades (except Randall instead of Niu).

So Brimson comes in this week with plan to be long term 18th man and boom/bust loop with Young/Siro?

Expecting a 30 from Hamiso is probably a bit unlikely but doesn't hurt the plans long term

3 trades seems a bit light, but with only 5 rounds to go by that point not the worst since you have 19 or 20 fit players

Just catching up on all the aftermath now

The guy leading the sharks comp is second overall, and dodged most injuries the past few weeks while we have hit them dead on especially with the POD ones to him.
Even moves like TPJ the past few weeks or his 4th reserve being Best when he went large has proved a winner like he has been kissed on the tip.

Having fun this year regardless so will give it a last shake or run out of trades trying haha
No point dying out wondering when you can slowly waste away into oblivion
So many holes to plug each week has kept it interesting at least

Deciding on Mcinnes + crap 18th man or Moses + Thompson (18th man)
What it will come down to is focus on short term injuries with decent cover or having that one extra trade for a long termer

Yeah mate, so Brimson in this week to play and be long term HLF/WFB cover that I am comfortable to chuck in and expect a decent score with the possibility to loop if I desire.
Hamiso against the Titans, Cows improving and Morgo back to steer the ship and hopefully set the tempo/spine a little better may help him.

3 trades for 5 rounds, cover all over the park and 19/20 fit players is the plan. Come R18/19/20 I can make any last ditched effort trades to crab a few points if I can.

Thats the plan. I actually like it. I know Young/Siro on the bench is pretty light but Siro seems like a solid footballer and if the backs stay healthy could be a 45+ scorer. If Young can see 45-55 minutes at Lock every week he should be a 40+ scorer and Raiders run home is great. Any injuries to the back row and he goes back to an 80 minutes second rower.

Feels like I've had my run, but still sticking to the plan. I had a few weeks there where I gunned it for huge scores and all pods firing, but a couple of injuries has stalled things a little.
