840 + DCE, Nofo, Talau, Ponga seems about par from the looks of everyone else's scoring

Jurbo, DCE, Talau, Ponga Brooks in action tomorrow to get me to 1000
5 players in action means I should be able to get some rank rises in
742/12
Only difference looks to be Brooks v Leilua.

I tried to listen to him objectively the other weekend (because usually I just hear his voice and cringe) but he went well for about the first 10-15mins, provided some insight, sounded excited. Nothing too bad.
Then he pulled out a Braith-ism and it was all over.
He is also one of the worst when looking at bunker deicisions or replays, he goes from "There was a clear knock on there", then "Oh well looking at that replay it could go either way" and "I'm happy with that decision" in about 30 seconds.
Braith and Blocker seem like they're in the gig because they can do what they are told.
Suprised the NRL hasn't sought out some of the womens NRL players to be on the panels seeing as they have no competition on.
Can you imagine Cronk and Ali Brigginshaw discussing on field tactics or Jess Sargis giving some pointers to the Dragons right edge?

I excitedly await Braith to inform me each week that “Possession is king”. I keep forgetting that there is more chance of scoring a try when you have the ball.

I try and count how many times he says diabolical during a game.standard-issue wrote:I excitedly await Braith to inform me each week that “Possession is king”. I keep forgetting that there is more chance of scoring a try when you have the ball.
I usually give up when I have to take off my shoes to continue the count.

He got TS back and lost 20 run metres to 150. At FT was on 80m then 5 mins later 170m which just shows what a shambles the stats recording in the Sharks vs Titans game was

The ABC Radio coverage has had Ruan Sims for a while now and she's pretty good. They had both Ruan and Ashton on the commentary team for a Dragons game that Korbin was playing in a few weeks back.

I think Braith can become a good commentator as he has the voice for it and can sometimes provide good analysis of the situation, when the situation demands it but right now he is a bit over the top.filthridden wrote:

I guess whether he goes on to become a great commentator, will depend up on the type of feedback he is getting from his producers and peers.

I like Anasta because his voice isn't irritating & he suits commentating. Ennis on the other hand I agree with a previous poster he likes the sound of his own voice & often interrupts & over talks others & then he won't be quiet & goes on & on.

When I got my Kayo sub I was genuinely surprised that with so much RL coverage there’s only a few token women in minor roles. Ch9 were (I assume still are) using Ruan Sims and Allana Ferguson as sideline reporters/interviewers and panellists.
And you can’t really argue it’s on merit when Blocker Roach is the second banana on 2-3 games per week. Even when he wasn’t removed from playing for nearly 30 years, ch9 never trusted him to do more than sideline reports and maybe the u21s grand final. For good reason

I'd have to assume Blocker rates well with older audiences given we get a dozen "back in my day"'s from him each game.

So who else is stoked with their 2 extra points after spending literally hours stressing over whether to pick Sironen or HTF as their last sub?

I have really liked what I’ve seen from him.
He is a shining light in dire times for the Broncos.
Thought about it a few weeks ago but held off to conserve trades. Now that siro is turning into a dud I think I need to turn him or Havili into a more manageable 17th man; either Dearden or Brimson.
Sitting on 849/14 with Pearce, Ponga and McIntyre or Talau to come.
