I know by about round 5 where I'm going to end up in the grand scheme of things. Some years I put it all together, get a bit of luck and finish in the top 100. Some years everything goes wrong, I'm chasing my tail and end up 2-3k. Most years I get a mix of both and end up in the top 1000
My biggest piece of advice is to try and zig when other zag. Every single week there will be a "must have" cash cow, you can't have all of them. Work out what your squad needs and try to target areas others don't. Normally there is 1-2 bye rounds that most ignore because the players aren't as good as they want, or it's too hard to make work with squad balance. These are the ones I throw everything at and try to make big ground
Yeah that's good advice, the temptations and FOMO are real. Guess im wondering what the lessons to learn from this year are for me, definitely burned trades at the resumption of play, I used all 8 in those two weeks trying to get back on top of a slow start and think that may have been my downfall.

Chin up mate,I’ve been sinking for a number of weeks and it’s only going to get worse with no trades left now. My rank is at 3293 and I’m thinking how the feck did I come 26th last year. I’m on 786 with Taupau,Bateman and CS9 so probably one of my better weeks considering I’m playing with 16 and copped Talaus doughnut too

As a Talau owner imo 0 is a fair reflection of how crap he was. He was making an error just about every time he touched the ball lol & he probably didn't get much ball because his those inside him didn't want him to phuck it up so never gave it to him. On that performance he'll probably get dropped imo but if he doesn't he must be close to getting dropped.

Currently 886/15 with DCE & Pappy to play. Cleary (c) saved my score with Talau sucking & Barnett & Yeo getting injured which limited their mins.

On Yeo didn't someone on here post last night that he passed the HIA so if that is the case there's no concussion protocols he has to pass this week. Is this correct or not. Cheers.

Im sitting 884 with 3 to play.. not sure where that will put me yet. Few high ownership guys like DCE, papy, starling to play plus loops to be added.
Meanwhile I have Jtrbo and the two big pods AFB and *yikes* Curtis Scott *yikes*, not that scott was pivked for that reason

Just because he passed last night (If he did) doesn’t mean he won’t have symptoms or anything today and go into the protocols. I didn’t see the hit but didn’t sound good for him.

Yeah Cleary said in the presser he passed the hia but the way he was talking kind of suggested they might play it safe with the short turnaround.

After all this holding trades for the H2H finals means I’ll probably miss the top 4 and scrape the 8 (Goodbye $700) and my overall rank has suffered (heading towards the 1k mark).
Not how I saw it going haha

Mate it can happen. I've had three of the last four seasons in the top 50 and my "down" year was about 400th, and I'm running way behind you this year. Kudos to people like mtvb who can keep their ranks up rain or shine, but it's been a weird year.

1023 with nanannananannananaa Bateman! to come. May get back near the top 1k....
More importantly, how good was it seeing the Warriors play fast hard footy and win! Thinking back to the Melbourne game when CS9 came in to patronise them after a drubbing- that’s a huge improvement. Will be death riding the Sharks hard for NZ to make the 8. And FFS Queensland teams.....

Been a little while since I've managed to string it all together with ranking hovering around the same for about 6 weeks.
Just thought I'd save my best for my number 1 forum rival. Your lads aren't going too bad either you should be well over 950 this week
Need RFM to hit 55 to crack four figures. Definitely possible!
Current live rank of 300 but I imagine that will drop back into the 600s today with only the one player.

I seem to do better in the "tougher" years. My best result to date was in the original Fanhub clusterfuck year, with potential to do better this year. I don't put in the time on analysis that a lot of the top guys do, so disruption probably works in my favour to level the field a bit.

951 with Paps and Starling to come today, I was 50/50 on putting the C on Hunt or Cleary, and chose Hunt

Was just rewatching the Warriors game highlights, Pearce looked like Darius out there, letting 3 tries in with no effort to tackle. Expect that he will be heavily targeted the rest of the season.

Fantasy aside, as a Tigers fan ironically I think looking to the future should involve giving Liddle the rest of the year off. I understand that's hard to do to a bloke, but deadset, he is a great Hooker but with horrible luck. Get all you can out of Harry Grant this year and let Liddle actually have a full and fit preseason ready for 2021. It's extreme and the whole can't wrap him in cotton wool thing comes into play, but can't see the down side toit.
