Here's my rankings tracked, a lot of up and down early on but basically stayed in the same range since R12 until decent boost in last round. R9 was very nice for me (round rank 42) which massively helped my season get back on track

    R1: 1657
    R2: 602
    R3: 130
    R4: 421
    R5: 628
    R6: 1080
    R7: 1060
    R8: 1143
    R9: 276
    R10: 378
    R11: 441
    R12: 208
    R13: 292
    R14: 222
    R15: 220
    R16: 198
    R17: 232
    R18: 145

Thanks guys. Sitting on 15520 so yeah I'd be up around 10k so that's not too bad.

Looking forward to a big one next year Smile

    I think he should.

2 failed HIAs in 3 weeks. It seems it’s repeated concussions that have the highest risk of long term effects.

Probably tough for him as he might be playing for a contract/NRL career at the moment.

My Autofill team is ranked in the 10000s with 16294 pts. So add a below average R1 and you’re about there.

    16. 1739
    17. 1383
    18. 1166

Pretty up and down year when I see it like that. Spent almost all of it stuck in mid-1,000s ranking purgatory. Hoping these last two rounds can see me finally jump into the top 1,000.

Only my second year playing and I'm a long way up on my rank from last year, so hard to complain too much though.

Next question, assuming no TLT surprises (big assumption I know) who would you guys be looking to upgrade here? I have 2 trades left and 69k ITB.

    Cook
    Haas, Taupau
    Jurbo, Lucy, Jazz
    Cleary, Pearce
    Ramien, Pompey
    Teddy, Ponga, RTS

    JFH, Hunt, Starling, Bironen
    HTF, Young, Randall, Fui

I could in theory have 21 green dots (wouldn't mind a red dot tbh), but plenty of sub-optimal players there. I think players on the chopping block would be Hunt, Young, maybe Lucy, and then any of the cheapies.

Love to hear your thoughts Smile

Without checking prices you can get Smith for Hunt, maybe. If that’s the case and Britain is on the Dragons bench again I’d do that.

Then I’d be tempted to hold and the other trade to the last week. Young at 600k-ish to an undervalued gun that can go big, possibly in a loop, or just use it for whatever injury/suspension/rest happens

This week/rank stuff is actually a valuable exercise. I have never done it before but it really gives a good insight into what you could have done better.

    1. 1,938
    2. 937
    3. 161
    4. 214
    5. 284
    6. 167
    7. 43
    8. 106
    9. 116
    10. 107
    11. 165
    12. 217
    13. 188
    14. 184
    15. 102
    16. 67
    17. 73
    18. 79

    Basically my conclusions are
    - Started out with high ranking after first couple of weeks which made me nervous so.....too many mid rangers in starting team
    - Trades were effective to start with but it looks like after the first third of the season I wasn't making enough money for my trades to have any impact on my overall ranking
    - This is probably consistent with how I feel about my team at the moment. 17th/18th men are weak and there are about three or four guy's in my final 17 who I thought I was using as a stepping stone
    - I tried to be bold this year and jump on cows early but would likely have benefited form holding fire for a week or two to avoid duds (Clarke, Paix, Hopoate, HTF etc)
    - Not a bad year but probs will finish up around the same as last year despite changing tactics

Moses a left field captaincy option this week as he flat track bully's his way to 90+ score against the hapless Broncos

Croft back at six for Brisbane. uhhh. Admittedly SOS has been absolute trash anyway.

I wasn't going to but since everyone else is:

    1. 13,394
    2. 8659
    3. 676
    4. 2370
    5. 1428
    6. 855
    7. 593
    8. 653
    9. 389
    10. 1036
    11. 674
    12. 682
    13, 1087
    14. 1094
    15. 870
    16. 472
    17. 483
    18. 421

I would still say GW1 is the most important... I got too clever (i.e. dumb) on starting squad, easily cost me a few hundred points and some trades long term. The rest has been chasing after a bad start

The other part I did quite badly was Harvey Norman bonus trades. At R7 I somehow went forward with only 15 players, then was expecting to take advantage of others receiving some R8 carnage. Instead they got extra trades to rescue them, and I used some of those same trades to force marginal moves that stalled the next 6 weeks or so for me.

Otherwise, pretty happy with the second season. Wanted to halve my rank, it's roughly 1/6th at the moment so good times.

Do you reckon if Dearden runs the team at 7, Croft at 6 just focusing on his own game will work? I feel like it's worth a try and better than SOS

Thoughts on DCE vs McInness for captain?

McInness the safer bet, but DCE with goalkicking against the Titans could be interesting - have a feeling it'll be high scoring with both teams having nothing to lose.

They tried that for 3 games before Croft got dropped.

He just looks a player that is a long way from first grade standard.

Well it's been my worst season in a number of years, but I'm not sure I'll be calling in Phil Gould to conduct an investigation just yet.

Heading into the year I decided to aim strongly for the bye rounds, that backfired majorly and I was playing catch-up ever since. In retrospect it was a pretty flawed idea anyway, so probably got what I deserved with that one.

On the upside, I think I've improved some of my processes for trade decisions and initial setup, so I like to think I've improved a bit as a player even if the results suggest otherwise.

Nope I’m relieved I do not have to stress as much as Souths have made the 8. Not bad at all as many were calling our pack a bunch of reserve graders who’d miss the 8, I’m proud of every one of them. Top 8 was a pass mark for us this year after losing GI, Sam and Sutto and we’ve done it.

Still would be nice to get a 6th placed finish so plenty still to play for.

I do not recall this.. Murray (NSW/AUS), Turgess (ENG), Lowe (QLD), Knight, Tatola, Nicholls all had good 2019 years and then Su'a looked alright in limited minutes for the Broncos.

Looks like a good pack to me. I mean I understand how some might say they are reserve graders, I am just saying I don't remember anyone saying that or saying they would miss the 8.. especially with Latrell as your big market signing and then your outside backs.

Was talking to some Parra supporting friends last night. They are all of the opinion that Parra are done for the year.

The view (and i agree with them) is that they'll be ripe for the beating on the weekend. The main questions is whether Brisbane will be good enough to take advantage of it. My guess is Parra will just hold on in a shoddy game.

We'll see. I think Parra are probably done in terms of finals, but they'll beat us by 40
