NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 87 - Kotoni Staggs is now a half so he'll move a few feet in.

Panthers will be a lock to get to the GF this year, hard to beat.

Tipping a roosters storm GF. Wbu guys?
God I hope not, it’s been done so many times.
Panthers been a breath of fresh air - normally I’d be wary of their lack of finals experience but they’ve been so far in front of everyone I think they get there and beat one of Storm and Roosters.
I also love what the Raiders do, but I’d love their chances a lot more from 4th instead of 5th

Interesting side stat. Tevaga only averaged 38.5 in the last 4 rounds with these being his only 4 sub 50 scores apart from his first game back.
Holy crap. First year.
I've been at this game since 2015 and my Bludgers rarely crack the top 2000. Final rank just inside the 3500 mark.
On another note, just to prove the theory I have that there's a lot of luck in this game as well, my Wags team (Sweet but Psycho) finished at 87; first time any team I've run got into the top 100. Honestly, this was due to starting with Lomax, holding off on Haas until he was about $50k cheaper and starting with Cook and Teddy.
I'm already missing the daily obsessive checking of this forum and team lists, injury updates, death-riding players not on my team etc.
Great work to everyone who made the top 50.
Better luck for 2021 lads.

Finished the season in 777 which I am happy with given I was sitting around 2000 with 6 weeks to go.
League 4 next season by the looks.
Haha, that was you, mate? I wish I'd known and we could have had a party or something cool like that.
Yeah had a good finish and sitting at 102nd overall at the moment. Obviously would have loved to crack that 100 (now that I'm down this far - had no inclination that I might even get into the top 1000 at the start of the year) so I'm bummed Averillo was a late out which left me with Staggs' 6. A 30 or so from Averillo and I'd probably be in the top 100. Oh well, next year? Haha.
No, I'll not kid myself. I know that it was probably the lack of Origin and all that jive which allowed me to have a pretty good year. So I'll take what I can get.
At the moment, I believe I finished 8th Overall in the Eels Official League too. That's pretty cool.

Haha, thanks mate. Yeah, good finish for sure for me. I ask a lot of questions of my tactics early in the year as I sit back in the pack, but this is why I employ these tactics. Just need to manage somewhat of a better start in the future to try and really get amongst the top. But I'm worried this year will be my peak year, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Pending updates, teeth has also won the Dream team Eliminator this year. 11 points up atm; ridiculously hard thing to win.
Thanks mate. Yes, it'll be a nervous sleep tonight awaiting updates. Hoping it plays out nicely.
Anyway, just finally, want to say a huge thanks to the whole community here. This is only my third year in Fantasy and I've made massive inroads in those few years and it's no doubt got a lot to do with being a member of this forum. Even if it's not direct assistance on direct questions (though that's always great), just the other stuff I read and pick up on this forum, that makes me think something I hadn't considered... or whatever the case may be - the forum is full of awesome info and plenty of members with plentiful knowledge and advice. So thanks to all and I look forward to doing it all again next year.
For anyone keeping score, I ended up winning my work cash league quite convincingly in the end, which I'm pretty stoked about, and yeah, as above, some pretty cool end rankings in other areas too - so thanks to everyone for being a part of that.

Almost identical thing happened to me 2016 or 2017. Went into final round hoping to break into top 200, just scraped into top 1000.

Well after updates to today’s matches I’m sitting at a rank overall of 465 pending any overnight updates.
Sitting 43rd in the FOG which I’m stoked about as well has me in L3 likely along with a few team names I recognise including Boozeclues and if a few do not come back which I’ve been told always happens then Welshy and Goat Boys could also just get into L3.

@Robelgardo I see your rank currently is 997, I hope you stay in that top 1000 and updates are kind to ya overnight.
Regardless of overnight results it’s been a great season and I’ve enjoyed all of it with you lads it’s honestly been a blast. Great to see lots of us doing PB’s as well......

I’ve been playing for as many years as I can remember and this is my first time in the top 100 (54 currently).
Look forward to seeing more of you next year in L1.

Thanks for the year everyone! I was 36k when I joined and finished just inside the top 30k so I'm happy with that. First year and so sharing my biggest mistakes:
- never owning Haas
- never owning mcInnes
- opting to not get Hunt
- wasting trades on "cash cows" with low job security
- overvalueing established mid tier players (JWH, Lowe, Nikorima, Mansour etc)
Plenty more mistakes of course, but haven't got time to name them all. Looking forward to drafting my team for next year and starting out on the right foot!
Thanks to everyone for the advice, and thanks to all who are in the threads during the matches. Ive enjoyed the chats while watching the games. I don't have any mates who love the footy like I do so it's nice to have people to talk to about it.

Limped home with 810 but happy with my overall rank of 7259, my highest ever! Thanks team, this forum has been invaluable, your knowledge of the game is outstanding.
Goal for 2021 is top 5000 and not to make the same mistakes with cash cows and centers

Limped home over the last two weeks with 873 in the final round, to wind up with a 12th overall finish. Would have been nice to sneak the top 10 but alas the boys were tired and just couldn't keep the momentum going.
Got pipped at the post by @panthurcraig, who stormed home in round 20, to take out the top spot in the FOG! Well done

This was my 4th year (my first off the 'R' plates) and I'm relatively happy with my 2,039th place. I found it a lot easier not having to manage byes and State of Origin weeks so that probably helped me.
Thanks to everyone here who helped throughout the season with your expertise. See you all next year - I'm off to sort out my Fantasy Premier League team .... don't even think of mentioning the Man City score

After a disaster of a round last week, I managed to sneak into the top 500 with a solid 947 this week. Final rank of 436 plus a win in the L13 final. Guess the prep for next year starts now haha
