Is Guth's congratulatory support enough to hold a spot for the decider? Hasn't contributed a whole lot in either game.

Papalil is a cat.
Hair pull on Crichton and standing over Teddy like a hero after they tackled him in the air.

There's no point getting excited about that game. Losing Munster in the first 5 minutes ruined QLD

RIP my SoO fantasy tilt. From 1st down to 12th with the Munster HIA. Although can’t just blame that - could’ve captained Teddy and still been in range. Otherwise solid effort by my lads. Collins was a good pickup, and getting off Jurbo was good too.

Wow he’s had cellulitis in his leg a very serious infection.
Quite amazing he played and you wouldn’t have known it with how well he played.

Couple things to point out from the game;
I hate how deep markers are allowed to sit, NSW were the main culprits. They're basically 3-4 metres ahead of where they should be.
No need for Sami to have a shower post game Addo-Carr gave him a bath.
Not since Joey has a halfback backed their kicking game like Nathan Cleary did. Some really ballsy kicks to keep momentum and stay on top of QLD. I like what I see from him. He's 22 and realistically could be our halfback for a long time.
Munster out ruined QLDs structure, DCE is not an Origin halfback. He doesn't play Origin style football.
I honestly asked during the game whether Holmes went off injured. Didn't see him for the majority of the game. You'd imagine Friend and Munster will have HIA procotols to go through. They left Friend on the field but given his history of concussions and they fact he stayed down he'd be touch and go. I think if he does have a late concussion that should be it for him and Cordner.
It'll be tough to back up next week for everyone but NSW obviously with the wind on their sails.

Despite having Munster it looks like my team did OK.
I didn't see the game but I was a bit worried about this going in. Probably didn't matter much to the result last night I guess.

It sounded on the radio like the blues should have put on more points than they did.

ST's take from the Origin game.
-If QLD can keep this young pack together headed by Welch/Papalii we will be a force to be reckoned with in the future.
-Yeo was MASSIVE for the blues. He came on and made 12+ metres every run and often had the Blues on the front foot. I am very scared going forward.
-QLD could not get a go forward. We struggled to make the 40m line each set.
-Old cement boots Sami needs to go. Defence and offence is not up to Origin standard – we need to give E.Lee or Allan a go.
-I think Hunt has forgotten how to play halfback
-If NSW had proper centres playing centre we would’ve lost by 100.
-The table next to me at the pub were feeding it to Hunt all game (they were QLD supporters), in my opinion, Friend was to blame for Hunt having so much shit ball… I said the same thing last week, how passes out of dummy half are fucking shit!!! Nothing hits the chest, all balls are either above the halves head or 2m behind him… not sure if Keary/Flannagan normally stand a bit deeper and this is what Friend is used to but I think we need to give Grant a red hot crack next week. He will be our long term 9 and although he is young he has the head and game for Origin.
-Capewell needs to learn how to pass.
-Holmes will never be a FB… he is a winger through and through.
If Tino is suspended and Welch/Munster are fit next week this is my game 3 side.
1. Holmes
2. Coates
3. Capewell
4. Gagai
5. Allan
6. Munster
7. DCE
8. Welch
9. Grant
10. Papalii
11. Kaufusi
12. S’ua
13. Carrigan
14. Hunt
15. Collins
16. Arrow
17. MoFo

Both Tino and Haas expected to get fines... neither in doubt for Game III

Also I know qlders aren't known for their mathematical acumen but surely they can see 4 v 3 off a scrum is going to spell trouble.

Took our foot off the throat for the last 15 mins with the game in the bag. Qld were resorting to cheap shots in the air and looking for suspensions with hair-pulling, slapping, stand-overs etc, so we slowed the game down and closed out with typical NSW class.
Probably no changes required for NSW. Wouldn't mind Lomax replacing Guth, but debuting in a decider at Suncorp could be tough. Freddie might stick with the familiarity of Guth I suppose.

Cheap shots in the air??? I think Frizell tackling Munster in the air (unpenalised - resulting in Munster HIA) was a lot worse than the Hunt and Tedesco contest (where I believe Hunt had all eyes for the ball).
Hair pulling.... look all game mate. Every time Ado-Carr tackled someone he chucked a few extra dogs shots in on the ground. Cookie was having a battle with S'ua all game. It's all over the place mate... I don't think any team really resorted to cheap shots when it happens in the Origin arena. Mate vs Mate. I know when I would verse mates I would add a couple extra elbows and throw a bit of dirt in there face in tackles and I would get the same treatment. Just how it is man.

If and it's a big if NSW beat QLD in QLD then it'll be 3 in a row and QLD start questioning where do they go to next. They need a better 7 but there's fuck all depth in the halves.

Frizell should've been penalised, but it was a pretty innocuous jersey-pull as Munster was landing. Being so deep in the ingoal making it a redundant tackle attempt is more why I think it should be a penalty. That was 2 mins into the game though and Qld didn't seem bothered. It was only when the scoreline became one-sided that Qld turned to poor sportsmanship.
I reckon we should let Keary play the 6 for Game III, so Munster can play FB and Holmes to WG. Grant to HK. Not a terribly abysmal looking Qld side that

I'm sure Keary would be happy to be picked for Qld...after all he's born and bred banana-bender & requested special consideration to change the agreed on regulations for player availability lol

I was wondering about this.
In game 1, Qld got NSW with width... despite their best efforts to fuck it up with high or behind passes all the time. I think it worked because Munster has a rare ability to create space from a standing start or broken play, so they could recover from the loss of momentum. But in game 2 with Munster HIA and NSW expecting the shifts, it was awful.
I don’t know why Friend was so bad, the Roosters attack is normally pretty slick and I’m sure Keary stands a few metres away too.
IMO, the best dummy half for firing quick, accurate long ball in the NRL is a QLD-er... but it’s Reed Mahoney and he’s not in your squad.
