Young probably able to play more of a middle role than CHN.

Season is still 2 months away, I don't normally start putting teams together until 2 weeks out. Just gets too messy otherwise. Plus I like seeing where other peoples thoughts are at first.

I'll probably wait 7 weeks if its still 2 months away., I don't feel there was any value add from looking early last season. It's not like it was even particularly fun either.

Then for other centre spot I see many taking a punt on D. Walker or Jimmy the Jet.... just a matter of how long they last til they break down though......

    Rough back 5:

    D. Walker/Jet Averillo
    Allan Tommy T Isaako

    In emergencies Feagai/Niu or Ramsey.....
Sounds like Roberts has serious issues, wouldnt be touching him.

I can just see everyone starting with Averillo, TTrbo, Roberts in their back 5 and then by round 3 have everything in tatters as injury and form mean everyone is out of first grade.

Not to mention a Brailey/Liddle injury, Arrow out with back problems, Manly edge replaced with the other alternative, and one of two middles getting less minutes than we expected...

Yeah... I may start with Ttrbo (as most probably will) and treat him as a cash cow until he goes down

they have plenty of outside backs with gagai graham burns & johnston + paulo, moga, marster, cartright.

there were rumours around  a while back that gagai was going to return to the broncos, maybe there is osmething to that. note that there is nothing to substantiate this

That could be true also but the latest rumour I’ve heard around is Burns coming to the Eels so we will see if anything comes of it. By the way, happy new year everyone! Hopefully I can bounce back from last years disgraceful performance

Young was great when Ricky played him in the middle at the end of the season especially his hits ups & work rate. In fact I think he started at prop a couple of games. To me he looks like a middle not an edge forward but the Raiders have so much depth & all the forwards seem pretty versatile.

Young definitely more effective in the middle.

While this is true - Stuart seems more likely to be straight up than most coaches (or if he doesn't want to say, he simply won't say).

It's all going to be subjective until TLT ultimately...

That would make sense, Eels desperately short a centre or two

Is Averillo actually going to start or is this another Greg Leleisiuao situation?

Averillo one of first signed/re-signed by Barrett in October so I think he would view him as key part of backline

5/8 backups are Lewis & Wakeham who are probably both equally suspect on defence to Averillo, but have worse attacking potential IMO

Even if one of 5/8 oust him I think he has spot in backline at CTR/wing (depending on Cotric) over DWZ/Meaney given re-signing logic

    That is a gun team!
    I bloody well hope so.

This has to be our year I pray!

Mansour is exactly what we need as he’s such a high work rate winger and we’ve been crying out for that.

Our issue is we can’t beat your Storm ffs! Evil or Very MadNo

Yep I’ve heard that rumour also mate. Good luck if you get Burns he’s lost all confidence with all the injuries he’s had.

NRL late mail crew must know the player prices I think.

They have indeed said Tommy T is below that 550k mark......

If that’s the case pretty much everyone will have him if he’s fit for round 1.

Good news for Isaako as well should only miss training for a week.
