Rabbits21 wrote:@mattnz mate I want you to smash it this year so I’m gonna give you an insight into what I learnt last year. Even though I finished top 500 I was still too worried about POD options. What you rather should focus on like I’m gonna try and do is just pick who you think will score the best. 1-2 POD players is ok but you don’t need more than that.

I differ with MNZ on an hourly basis, but always appreciate his thoughts (even if Fermor isn’t a 600k centre yet). He puts a lot of original thinking in and that’s grand.
Waiting to be asked for advice is always a better plan than proffering directions. Because you never know how much weight the target is likely to give to your opinion.
@Welshy is a good guide in this - appalling rankings and admirable communication skills. As a result we’re always happy to hear from him.
Good luck again this year mate - hope you break the 100!

Staines doesn't need to continue scoring anything like that rate. If he is in the top 3 try scorers for the season he will have been good value.Rabbits21 wrote:
Exactly. I’ll stay clear until there is a bigger sample size.
I can find better options than Staines at this stage.
Lots of inexperienced casual players will start with him and I think they’ll be in for a rude shock and some disappointment....
