I'd be happy if I got him and everyone else stayed away, if only getting a couple weeks at a time from different events to different players. By Origin everyone will have him, but using a trade and likely paying $400k.rhinoceroo wrote:
So he might get game time (if it's allowed, which is contentious). But you'd be gambling on a long-term injury for him to make any coin because he's not going to keep his place this year ahead of any of them no matter how well he plays. Worth keeping an eye on *if* a Morris completely breaks but not before.

I was reading a sc forum & apparently there's a rumour at the Panthers that Martin will play prop so Capewell can start on the edge. Even though Martin has a big motor & goes hard & would suit the front row surely he's too small to be effective there.

That is exactly what I wanted to know. I assume he’s an insurance policy as he’s only an injury or two away from starting.rhinoceroo wrote:

Because our squads are only 21 players having a red dot from the get go will limit cash generation which will be very important later on. You want all 21 players being named to play.

But never underestimate the importance of a good cash out. If someone in the backline gets a lengthy injury and the kid steps up to the plate then everyone will jump on at near basement price anyway. If this happens early in the season then you might come out ahead by saving a trade, but it if it happens 8 rounds in then the extra cash cow which has risen in price and can be downgraded may be more advantageous. Just a lot up in the air to soak up a position I want making money IMHO.
I doubt he starts cutting his teeth on the bench though, Robinson probably won’t make his 17 year old rookie a bench utility when he can be eased in on the wing at a later date

Even if Capewell start for Penrith, I doubt he'd be a CTR option in fantasy, especially given how stingy they've been with squads so far. And he's not going top be good enough value for an EDG spot.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 1 - Game on Mole
Roosters have both Radley and Verrills returning from injury who will both be ahead of Suaalii for a bench spot. I'd also expect Ikuvalu, Billy Smith and Adam Keighran to be ahead of him for backline spots. That's a signing for down the track with maybe a game or two this season.
Assuming Cordner is out for a while, I would expect
1. Tedesco
2. Morris
3. Morris
4. Manu
5. Tupou
6. Keary
7. Lam/Walker/Hutchinson/Keighran
8. JWH
9. Friend
10. Tauk
11. Tupouinua
12. Crichton
13. Radley
14. Verrills
15. Liu
16. Butcher
17. Collins
Then depth in the likes of Lam/Walker/Hutchinson/Keighran/B.Smith/Ikuvalu.
Robinson seems to be attempting to turn Hutchinson into a Tyrone May/Connor Watson type off the bench that can come on and ball play EDIT: With Radley back able to play this role it might stop unless there are injuries

Re: NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 1 - Game on Mole
Whatever happened to Billy Smith?
Wasn’t he meant to be the next big thing in the centres when he did his ACL in preseason last year?
Back down the pecking order to make way for old man Morris?
Not that you can blame Robbo, I still can’t believe how well the twins were playing at 34 last season.
Usually they are truly busted by then, like Hodges and Inglis, just having a swan song and focusing on defence.

Was next in line to replace Latrell until the ACL injury. That forced the move to get Morris who absolutely did well enough to hold his spot. Normally takes 2 years to bounce back from ACL injury so might not be up to scratch at season start anyway

TBH never got into them at the time but did try maybe 10 years ago. Just for the 'record' (pun intended) The Fugazi ran 3rd at Ascot today.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 1 - Game on Mole
Thinking there is some value in the Warriors halves for some mid range risk takers.
After Blake Green left, CHT and Niko played 5 games together
CHT averaged 46.4 at half, priced* at 34.6 (included 2 tries and +6 points per game in goal kicking)
Nikorima averaged 46.8 at 5/8, priced* at 37.6 (included one try)
*if their price is based on season average
The problem is that they seemed to share the kicking as a fairly even split. If one could dominate that statistic over the other (maybe as Nathan Brown’s new gameplan) then there could be good value there.

CHT ticks the box in what I want from a cheap half. Decent share of kick metres, goal kicking, won't lose a bunch of points to missed tackles which gives a floor in the 20s so you won't get a stinker. Plenty of attacking upside as CHT loves to run the ball. I'll probably be taking the punt
