I have never trade planned before because I have always been more focused on my H2H league which got me into fantasy. This year I might start going for overall and get into that top 2,000.

Pumped for another season of NRL fantasy. BBL fantasy really is tear your hair out material. Looking forward to some consistent fantasy scores.

Very few genuine edge 2RFs that consistently put up big numbers, Crichton will be a standout must have at the end of the year.StormTrooper96 wrote:The tackle that loses possession gets me.... if there is a 3 man tackle and the carrier loses possession do all 3 players get 4 points?
The new positions pretty much reflect actual NRL now as locks are no longer more of a second rower. Locks are now more of a forward with a big engine. Means people can't pick guys like Jurbo, Lolo, Carrigan, etc at second row. Instead we will be forced to pick up genuine second rowers.
Team set up now looks to be
HOK
MID MID MID
EDG EDG
HLF HLF
CTR CTR
WFB WFB WFB

With the Corey Allan signing being official it looks like Dogs will line up like this round 1
1.Allan
2.Meaney
3.Cotric
4.Hopa
5.DWZ
6.Averillo
7.Flanagan
This would make Averillo almost a must have available at centre playing in the halves, with Flanagan also being a decent shout as he should dominate the kicking

2RF: McInnes, Crichton, Taumalolo
FRF: Haas, Carrigan
HOK: Cook
If you shift to Middle and Edge positions it's:
EDG: Crichton, Harris/Matterson
MID: McInnes, Haas, Taumalolo
HOK: Cook
Carrigan, harris and Matterson all avg 60.2 ppl
So it might not actually change much.
The difference will be in the depth chart. Last year Haas was miles better than the 2nd best FRF, and the depth dropped off pretty quickly.
This year I think it will be similar in edge, where if you don't have the top ones it will be a big drop in points, but there will be a bunch of middle forwards good enough for your final team. Depends a bit on who gets DPP though, that may boost the edge depth.

Dogs had one of the least stable halves combinations in the comp last year. How much job security would Averillo have? I'd be more trusting in Flanagan holding his spot

Warriors have a lot of middles this year... not sure whether Tohu might actually play edge?
LAM and AFB starting props. Tevaga, Evans, JTB, BMM, Afoa all middle forwards. Only really Katoa, Harris and Sironen are second rows (maybe BMM can play edge impact from bench) and Tohu easily the best of those.

Personally (my pointless opinion) I think starting Harris at lock with Siro/Katoa edges is stronger than putting Harris to an edge and having someone like Tevaga at lock. Tevaga to me is better used as a bench middie for around 40 mins.

Crichton, Matterson, D.Fifita, Murray (2021 2RF) and maybe someone like Lucy will be your genuine second rowers who will be up there this year.

I haven't even thought about a squad yet, but I imagine Crichton might be very close to locked into my starting squad. I won't be going near D Fifita.

Love all this chat already. With the new positions it will be very hard to put somewhat of a cookie team together until we have all the early DPP's. Who are our breakout fantasy stars this year?? Someone who will make the biggest jump?
I reckon Doueihi makes at least a 5 point increase.... Now he still averaged 39.5 last year but there is talk he will be moving into the halves to join Brooks. Those 4-5 games he played half at the Rabbits he looked really comfortable there. Averaged 42.8 in games he played 80 minutes and also kicks goals. These games were back in 2018 and 2019 so with another 2-3 years under his belt and a bit more of a frame I think he will breakout this year and be the Tigers main attacking threat. If he gets DPP HLF/WFB, he will be a great starting point at WFB or HLF for around 500-550K for someone who I believe will average around 43-50 points at half.

Really? I think I will be all over the Titans this year. Brimson, Fogarty, Fifita, Tino, Ese, MoFo... also going through the Titans team they don't have Peats listed...
One thing I really want to know is.... Who is joining the Carty Party down in Parra

I think that with a number of standout value players that everyone will have this season, the big differentiator will be picking the right guns with all the remaining cash.

Tino could be a good pick up at 2RF aswell as he will likely play big minutes at lock but should be available at second row

Fifita is too lazy for me.
Peats isn't with the Titans anymore. Don't think he found a new club.
Aaand we have our first round of prices for 2021 -

Riki cheap if he starts. Milford probably the stand out if you back him to find form.

Kelly could also be a good POD gun centre as he is heavily underrated but a better all round titans team should see him benefit. However, I’ll probably learn from my mistakes and just pick a non centre at centre. Last year was a catastrophe for me as I passed on both Lomax and Crichton

With the rule changes I would like to find out who are the best strippers in the comp... do we have any data from last season?
