Did anyone notice Hipgrave was originally in the Storm team & now he is replace by 228k Pezet. There was an article on nrl.com saying Hipgrave at Eels which alerted my attention.

We never signed Hipgrave? He was always going Eels?? Could be a type by NRL.com?

Wonder who picks up that other CTR spot... Oldfield and Opacic looking okay prospects being inside Sivo. Not much value in that squad elsewhere

The Eels were very active in new signings this year with a lot of (IMO) "2nd-tier" players coming on board:

    Isaiah Papali'i
    Bryce Cartwright
    Keegan Hipgrave
    Tom Opacic
    Joey Lussick
    Michael Oldfield
    Jordan Rankin
Nathaniel Roache? (not listed for some reason)

I can't say any of them particularly excite me from a Fantasy perspective (some outright horrify me)

iPap burst onto the scene at NZ and looked like the next big thing at 2RF... I think he got injured, form slumped a little and put a little weight on, to which he was moved into the middle rotations for the Warriors. Pretty sure his mum plays NRLW?? I can’t see him knocking off Lane or Matterson but we all know Brown never plays a full season so he could find some decent time in the middle…

Could lose a bit of coin and be a decent pick up around Origin time also with the like of Brown and Matterson likely missing time over that period.

Maybe IPAP gets a few mins on an edge and Matto spits dummy and quits club? jocolor

In all seriousness Ipap may challenge Lane for a start. Lane was benched towards end of 2020 IIRC

Moses average artificially inflated slightly by games without D Brown in last few games of season

Will obviously still dominate KM but not going to have similar games with 600 and 800+ KM

I think he was signed as one of the dev players outside the 30, which seems slightly outside the spirit of the concept

MWZ retiring after suffering “acute kidney failure” in the offseason. Hate to see those kind of career endings.

Not saying it's the case but kidney issues in elite athletes always make me think of the Auckland Blues Rugby Union team of the mid/late 90s.
A number of them had kidney issues after they retired and it was a bit sus.

And possibly artificially deflated by a 13 point 34 minute effort (and a recurrent calf? injury problem).

Anyway, he's only $6K dearer than the start of 2020, and curiously exactly the same price that he ended 2020.

Definitely already excluded injury from calculation

Priced 57.2, total injury excluded average 59.4, average with D Brown is 58.1

Funny that my season lesson was to pick halves who dominate KM and I’m leaning against that in early stages
