It will be Blore or Garner. My money would be on Garner, but there are big plans for Blore.Milchcow wrote:
Seems to be a good shout at starting right edge for Tigers. Played a few interchange games last year. Didn't set the world on fire, but he's $246k so if he starts he's an obvious pick

Went through quickly and selected a team without thinking too much which I was really happy. I looked up at the price to see how much I had left for my last spot and saw I had 800k left. Making teams is going to be so easy money wise this year

So glad they made to changes for salary cap to actually get you a few good players. This is what they needed to do to keep new / casual players interested and grow.

Might use my WAGs team to get a couple of guns, reliable WFBs and then all the 300k bargains with loads of cash left over to single trade upgrade when players max or fall. Have a suspicion it would do better over the season than a maxed out team.
Off the top of head
Cook (c)
Tino Lodge LAM
Riki CHN
Munster Milford
Averillo Roberts
TTrbo Tedesco Holmes

Happy new year chaps!! Good to be back doing NRL Fantasy things!!
Just looking into the halves situation. Are you guys leaning towards two halves in the 600-800 bracket, or one gun one 350-500k type situation. Struggling to see any decent value halves under the 550k mark myself, maybe CHT

I'm taking a pint on milford also eyeing lachlan lamb if he gets the halves position for the roosters

Lam is an interesting prospect. Have considered the Milf under new coaching, but not sure I can burn myself again on him though haha

Blore is going to be a stud. He looks like a natural footballer out on the field. Think it probably translates into a "Adam Blair at Melbourne" type so probably not super relevant as a fantasy scorer.

certainly passed the eye test from what I saw of him last year (football, not necessarily fantasy)

I definitely think the play will be leaving around 100k ITB because with the amount of cash cows there are you're bound to pick someone who starts slow, while someone you leave out starts fast and then you can just trade to faster money maker

As much as I want Cleary, he’s just too expensive to start with so it’s Munster and CHT at present.ShadowSabre wrote:Happy new year chaps!! Good to be back doing NRL Fantasy things!!

Any word yet on how many trades we get this year? Will there still be the same as usual around Origin?

it is shaping up to be a year where a lot of players burn trades early on cash cows. people will waste a lot of trades because the guy they started with scored a 20 in round 1, so they punt him for someone else only to regret that trade a few weeks later.

How many Tigers are people likely to start with? I think Brooks looks good value! If he doesn’t excel this year (with no Benji and a very big pack) then he never will. Liddle will be locked in somewhere between 13-18.
