That'd be long enough I'd say for Lodge to make money even if he went back to the bench on Haas' return. Priced at 29 and could get 40 even off the bench, no?

Agree, and those stats don't allow for the six again rules, could get a bump there.

Andrew Webster has mostly backed up your dad in a column last week: https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/the-cameron-smith-situation-is-becoming-absurd-just-like-you-knew-it-would-20210201-p56ygx.html

    SUMMARY
    - Definitely the Storm are waiting for Smith to announce something before they announce new captain(s), clear out his locker etc. as a mark of respect. J-Brom and Finucane were they names Webster mentioned as skipper.
    - If any club can sign Smith, it is the Titans. They have cap space. Were confident before Xmas, less so as the season gets closer. But Smith to Titans could still happen

Who would be other starting prop when Haas returns?

Smith just doesn't want to do preseason. So wait for that to be over, sign. Game on.

And i dont say that as a swipe at his attitude, its fairly widely known he manages his training load because he is like 100.

Yup. Even in 30-40 minutes stints off the interchange his average is 36.1.

So even by the most conservative estimate of his role/minutes there's 9 points of value, plus whatever impact new rules have, with significant upside if starting prop for ~45 mins.

Would rather that than a gamble on Leniu/Alvaro/Hetherington, and think he offers more upside than Ofa/BMM/Lodge.

Carrigan if Pangai is lock. With Haas out i would say the starting middle will be lodge carrigan and pangai in some combination of 8 10 13. By the time haas is back its probably just on form as to who keeps starting.

That is true. I forgot the news of Pangai starting lock. Makes Riki a must then... until they lose 3 on the trot

    Aren't those LAM stats from 2019 though & he's been out since round 3 in 2020 which is a long time & in rounds 1 & 2 in 2020 he scored 29 & 32 which isn't that impressive. Imo he's a wait & see.

Those 2 scores last year were his only ones since joining the Warriors, and they aren't doing anything to convince me of him

He could get a bump in scoring as he hasn't played any games under the new 6-again rules. So if he starts I'll consider him.

For now I have Alvaro as a placeholder in my team instead. His prospects at the moment aren't really any better than LAM's though. I'll be keeping en eye on both to see if either are actually viable.

The general consensus on Tino seems to be a wait & see but if CS9 plays for the Titans does this change the view on Tino.

Personally i dont think he has the workrate to be worthwhile unless he keeps scoring tries. Maybe he will keep scoring tries though

    Maybe he will avg 60

He just seems like the type to keep scoring tries on a regular basis. Should see a decent base in tackles and metres at lock also... His history of games starting lock, not including origin, (4 games last year) he has an average of 51.5 over 56.8 minutes with only 2 tries in 4 games (low of 40 with 0 tries).

If we then just look at games over 50 minutes (general lock minutes) his average jumps to 54.6 over 61.8 minutes with 4 tries in 8 games (1 game he scored twice) with a low of 38 and a high of 86.

Even still if we refine it to 50-60 minutes his average is 51.3 in 53 minutes with 3 tries in 4 games.

I just think he is the type of guy to score 1 try in every 2-3 games. Priced at 43 I reckon he puts up numbers in the 50's. Will be the guy that scores 40's and 60's to find a nice spot in the middle to average out the year.

    Hi Guys,

I really enjoy reading this most wonderful site with great helpful people and a good laugh, got a scare

when I couldn't access it the other day.

    Now to my dumb question.

Is there a certain position that a cash cow will generate cash quicker than other positions, eg working

    forwards or flashy backs?

If so should I concentrate cash cows in the subs in that area rather than covering every position.

Thanks again for all your advice.
