So far the only thing I'm certain of during this preseason is that I'm picking (C)leary. Everything else can be arranged around that fact once trials/TLT is done.

One of my main concerns is that I'm interested in a bunch of players returning from injury, it feels risky

I thought you’d be all over Brooks..... looks like there is quite a lot of upside there.my tv broke wrote:Brooks may turn out to be a good pick but he wont be in my team.
Tbh id almost rather pick Douehi if i had to make a choice between the two (and douehi played rnd 1)

I’ve seen Saifiti’s name mention a few times now and looked at his stats and he definitely has the potential to become a top tier gun. He actually averaged 60.7 in games over 50 minutes last year. Sell me either way please

I think there's potential there. Touching 100 first grade games, coming off another Origin series, and 24 now so should be somewhere near his physical prime. No reason he couldn't step up in minutes. Probably played better than Klemmer for decent chunks of last year so deserves a few more minutes. Fitzgibbon injury potentially means more minutes to go around in the pack.
Downside is obviously Klemmer, Barnett capable of playing big middle minutes, Frizell now there will play 80 most weeks, and who knows how many middle minutes Watson would play?
I quite like it as an SST alternative, but would want to hear something indicating he'll play a few more minutes this year...

Mate there is only 2 bye rounds, for the first half of the year not owning any origin players for mine is crazy, you will just full behind tbh with you.
You can’t plan your season like that for mine as it’ll backfire. It’s all about picking guns for mine to start with and then finding value elsewhere especially in cows to make loads of money.
If your strategy pays off I’ll happily eat my words, but I can’t see that happening sorry mate.

I have one, Cleary looks like a must have captain now.Rabbits21 wrote:

I can either have Cook or Angus. Not both. Could go combo of Cook and SST, or combo of Angus and Munster to to go with Cleary, Matto and Teddy.
It’s tight but I’m leaning towards Cook and SST currently. Angus with his DPP though would be handy!
TU: Cook and SST
TD: Angus and Munster

Somehow I think you'll end up with Cook in your team regardless

Yeah most likely! I think he’s in for a big year.

Anyone seen any news articles or coaches comments about Jack Bird and his role/position in team?

I don’t know how it normally works but I’m happy to run it
EDIT: I know how the league works I just don’t know how it works with who runs it and stuff like that
