RFM is carrying an ankle injury, apparently not due back until early rounds of the comp. Stimson anyone?

Being a bludger at heart, the Bludger doesn't go in much analysis of stats...but a quick calculation from MTB's data on Brooks tells me that based on the games he played 80 mins at halfback in 2020, he averaged 50.5.
Priced at 40.6, so even if his game remains the same but Madge leaves him to run the team, he's 10 points ($130k) under priced.
I reckon Brooks is a confidence player and if he starts well, he could go above 50. cheer

Corey Oates’ career as a winger is over with the former Queensland Origin flyer making a permanent switch to the back row in a bid to replace former Broncos sensation David Fifita.

Coach Kevin Walters’ new regime at the Broncos has brought sweeping change and Oates is involved in the shake-up, with the 26-year-old relishing the prospect of a move from Brisbane’s backline to the forwards.

“He should play about 20-25 minutes,” Griffin said.

“It’s just more about letting him play and we would extend his minutes and let him go in the Charity Shield.

“The plan is start him in the back-row”.

Bird has spent the off-season training between the backrow, centre and the halves. He was slated to play fullback for the Broncos last year.

I normally set it up, but others are free to do so.

The auto fill algorithm is pretty poor, and gives you too many $228k players that will never p k at, so I normally pick a few guns at random from the autofill and downgrade them to upgrade the nuffies to people who are more likely to play first grade

Boom Sydney Roosters teenager Joseph Suaalii is expected to make his much-hyped debut for feeder club, the North Sydney Bears, next weekend.

The 17-year-old schoolboy superstar is still waiting for a clearance to play NRL before his 18th birthday, prompting coach Trent Robinson to use the Canterbury Cup as a launching pad for the game’s most exciting rookie in more than a decade.

The Roosters are hoping to get an NRL clearance for Suaalii before the start of the competition in the second week of March, a move that has become more important following news that luckless centre Billy Smith has been seriously hurt at a training camp.

I didn't realise that Suaalii was still in school this year. I thought he had left to join the Roosters.

Barnett is playing edge, was training there before Fitz went down

You'd think that's good for Saifiti's minutes. In rounds 3-8 last year when Barnett was injured he averaged 57 minutes, compared to his overall avg of 47 for the year. Would you expect Watson to play the same big minutes as Barnett was at lock?

Otherwise no Fitz, Barnett playing edge, Ese'ese, Guerra, Glasby all gone. There are middle minutes on offer & I think it's feasible he goes from his 47 minute avg to high 50s minutes which could well push him into cut-price keeper territory. Would be risky to start with him though.

Watson has said he wants the big minute lock role, was before the Fitz injury.

It’d be a waste if RFM is back round 3 or 4.

Torn between Angus ,Lolo or Yeo cant decide at this stage who I prefer, leaning towards Lolo as I still think he will score well.

When Green comes back from injury between rounds 5 and 8, what do you think happens to Mann? Does he become bench utility?

I won’t be starting with Lolo.

May start with Angus, SST. May not have enough funds for Angus though.

I don’t mind @rhinoceroo shout out for JFH either....

I think I want Matto as my gun edge.

I also think he'll still score well. Don't think I'll start with him though, I'll take Payten at his word until he gives cause not to. Could be a perfect rd14 trade in.

You mean after Jayden has made 200k?

Seriously though, good question. O'Brien seems set on an 80min hooker from what I understand though.

80 minute hooker isn't necessarily needed this season, when you have Watson looking to be huge minute lock and Barnett and Frizell both playing 80 minutes (very different to Guerra often playing 40 or 50 minutes). Interesting to note that predicted round 1 team lists generally have Crossland on them, with Brailey still to play his first match under the new rules. Will be an interesting TLT.

Makes sense. Covers hooker and all of the backline. Too good to leave out of the 17, was one of their best last season.
