I think this is close to the team I'll run with, in structure if not specific players. There's obviously a few guys that will move around based on what happens come TLT

Yep...probably leaning towards $75-$100k itb and a few differentials depending on TLT but Cook, Ted, Cleary & Angus are locked as guns (fingers crossed)

Good scoring middles are looking like a bit of a bitch early this year, I've wound up going with 2 guns each at edge, half and WFB (counting Turbo as a gun because historically he is when fit) and value elsewhere

Still got $356k itb for my current draft so space for another one easily fuck I love team building this year

Taking the gamble there on Tino I see..... he would need attacking stats!

Gives a hell of a bench what could separate you from the pack at the start just need to mid price players to pull their weight.

This is similar to the boozecluez approach a few years ago. It worked well then

By attacking stats, you mean tires. That was pretty much what he got for attacking stats last year

What if this new kid Jock Madden starts the first game and kills it, surely they won't drop him for the next game.

What does that mean for Doueihi and Mbye in Round 2 ?

We never beat the Raiders lately but Madge tends to play players on form. If Madden kills it in Rd 1 he’ll play Rd 2.

Thank goodness. If Madden plays at 6 for Rd 1 and kills it then he will play Rd 2, as Madge tends to play players on form. He’d be GK as well. We rarely kill it against Canberra though.

I understand he has to integrate with team structure but I don’t really get why they would waste time on his contract after rushing him in and trading a decent squad player in Momirovski when if they weren’t planning on him starting early on they could have just waited until next year and not needed trade

Happy for Tigers fans to explain otherwise

Momo wanted out, Laurie wanted in.

If Laurie kills it this weekend he will play Rd 1 -probably at 6 or 14! Of course the proper trial following we be more important.

I tend to agree with this

He might not start round 1 because he has missed preseason with the squad, but would imagine he grabs a starting spot not long after. That said he is probably more valuable as a cash out once he is starting

Getting Laurie only a month before kick off probably has him at a disadvantage over MBye who's been playing that spot within the squad all preseason.

Madge has shown that he's not afraid to blood young players, so his first grade inexperience is unlikely to count against him.

Laurie almost certainly offers more potency in attack then MBye, but I personally think it will come down to whether Laurie has a big enough voice/confidence within his new team to organize the defence etc.
It may take some time there. I think he likely ends the season as the Fullback, I'm less certain he starts it.

even if he doesnt play first grade til back end of the season, it makes sense to get him across now in my opinion. he wasn't going develop any quicker at the panthers as he wouldnt play first grade there, so they can develop him how they want to now.

Koroisau was a good pick last season because he split the hooker role at Manly in 2019. As stand alone starter he was ~200k under priced, which made him an excellent cow.

Now that he is appropriately priced I'd prefer Cook and Grant over him. If we had an unlimited salary cap Koroisau probably sneaks onto my bench but I prefer Cook+Grant for points and Liddle+Brailey+Watson for cash

Fogarty was asked on the TK podcast who will GK this season, didn't give anything away, sounded like Herbert and himself were the main ones practicing GK'ing at hte moment but he also mentioned ash taylor hasn't been able to do any goal kciking yet (but will be soon).. so.. nothing clear Sad
