"I'm not too sure yet (what the spine will look like), there's still a bit of time," Trbojevic added.
"It's lucky we've got options. Obviously hooker's going to be an interesting one, you've got Lachie Croker training well there. It will be interesting.
Possibly the clearest indication so far that Croker is most likely to be starting Hooker in Round 1?

So the Broncos have officially approached Cameron Smith regarding a move to Red Hill as the NRL sets a minimum value of $500K for his signature.

I guess Des is banking on having Fainu back in July (next court date).

Not being funny but for one year if the choice is between battling to keep the Broncos off the bottom or leading the Titans to finals then it's a pretty easy one football-wise.
He'll have his pick.of off-field jobs anywhere after his career's over anyway, so that's not much of a consideration.

I hope Smith goes to the Titans and has a Bradyesque Grand Final win with them. Even as a Broncos fan I dont think he could carry our plodders.

If he’s having a Bradeyesque moment, can he come to the Tigers and get us into the 8 instead? That might be a bit easier.RandomSil wrote:I hope Smith goes to the Titans and has a Bradyesque Grand Final win with them. Even as a Broncos fan I dont think he could carry our plodders.

“Teddy worries me - so many of his points come when attacking off the back of scrums and the play the ball restart is going to remove so many of those.”
Does that sound right to you guys? I don’t often pay much attention to Facebook opinions but it does appear that some logic has been applied to this one.

It might be a fair comment but Teddy is still Teddy, and is gonna score big points anyway.
Cronk made a good point in the Allstars game that the new rules have slowed the game down into more 1 out runs into set defense. Without scrums the restarts are always taken in the middle of the field to a 12 man line and teams dont get the chance to 'strategise' in the 30 seconds a scrum takes (run set plays or set up some planned attack), so they just 'reset' their set of six with a couple of hit ups.
I guess being an allstars game (and first game of the season) didn't help, but i think teams will need to evolve and be better at thinking on the fly

Strong disagree. Tedesco is best when the Roosters have tempo with a quick play the ball.
